Since the Spyrius faction of Classic Space never got a big flagship, I decided to build them one for SHIPtemeber 2023. The Spyrius Primus is the Spyrians' mothership where they bring all of the technology they steal from the other Space factions to bring them back to their home planet. It has the same kind of saucer shape as their other ships which allows them to be undetectable by the Space Police's radar. It is equipped with a powerful triple engine and two quad-laser cannons for defense and quick getaways. It features interior for the bridge, cargo bay, and the hallways. The bridge can serve as a detachable escape pod. The ring was inspired by Chris Wight’s Steampunk Mega Wheel Design. Thanks to Diego from 1980somethingspace.com for the Spyrius background.
The selfie stick, product of the year. Sure, it was around last year, but it really became ubiquitous in 2015.
Everybody on this shelf is looking super fierce!!
Just some quick shelf shots from last week. (Hope these work and actually post!)
I can’t get my Flickr feed to load so I’m taking it as a sign to stay off the internet this morning and keep cleaning my studio!
This is very heavily cropped, but I loved that I managed to get a shot of the House Martin, these guys are so so quick that I had the camera zoomed in on the nest and then kept my eyes on the sky to see them coming towards it, as soon as I spotted one, I just kept my finger on the shutter button hoping that I'd get at least one shot in focus.
I think the Canon 60D does 5 frames to the second, in the next frame, the bird was gone again!!
Hope you all have a great Saturday :)
thanks for your visits and the great comments :)
The quick stop of a long way,
before the end of the day,
for a minute to rest,
to catch the thought...(have I done right?)
to check the compass...(direction correct?)
to sip a hot pleasure
for body of mine;
to listen to hubbub,
to be warmthed by a fire,
and to close eyes for a while...
Trying not to forget
why I am on the road,
remember the aim
of my long way.
Just the quick stop
for limbs to rest,
aware of feeling that
this is the best
place to stay.
Recall the dream
I ones seen.
Wrinkle crooked hands...
And it's time...
Now rise and go...
further, but slow
till the next
quick stop...
A quick box pouch - filled with goodies - for my nephew - who had to write his exams last week.
I have used this tute:

My husband has been so great and cut all my scraps in strips and squares ... so I could just take some and start sewing - GOOD!!
With more men now allocated to building, work progressed quickly. The first task had been to build a stone pier out into the estuary. Across the end of this a more substantial sea wall was built. Together they formed a harbour with two landing piers. A low one in the shelter of the sea wall - ideal for the smaller river boats and a larger quay, open straight onto the estuary allowing easy access to the larger sea going ships like Nix and Sol.
Thomas’s father had drawn up plans for a lifting crane. Thomas had recognised its value to the rest of the build and its erection had been the next task. The crane brought a drastic reduction in ship turnabout time. Cargos that had been carried off previously by hand, tying up lots of men and taking all day, could now be unloaded in under an hour. As the walls started to rise on the fourth stage of the project the crane was also useful in keeping the masons readily supplied with fresh stone.
As the gatehouse was now progressing so smoothly, Thomas had commissioned an additional building for this last phase. The daily news continued to be dominated by the diplomatic spat between Loreos and Lenfald. Sure enough, as the attention of Loreos had drifted north, the suppression of the outlaws had already relaxed. Pirate raids were becoming more prevalent and daring by the day. Thomas’s two sleek merchant ships had so far proved too quick on the open sea, but there was always the possibility of a pirate group following a ship into port for an opportunistic raid. Furthermore, should international diplomacy sour even further, there might be the formidable Lenfald Navy to think about. Just like his Uncle Gunnar, Thomas didn’t want to leave any soft parts exposed.
(I managed to use both the raised base plates. Good eh!)
A quick tip :
Sometimes the movements between poses can give some great results. This is also a great way to get natural poses from a first time model.
But most of all. It doesn't look posed ;)
Whats your best "in between shot"?

I think that this woman may have been a visitor from Europe where changing from street clothes to swimwear on the beach, complete with glimpses of nudity, seems to be quite a normal thing to do.
When the southwest monsoon takes a break, these pulse storm (I like the term popcorn thunderstorms) can dominate throughout the day. The ones near sunset are particularly colorful with lots of contrast.
This clip was 39 minutes real-time and was sped up 4x. It stayed about 12 miles from my location.
Taken with GoPro 10 on 8/16.
Picture of the Day
My weekend won't be complete if I don't go out and shoot something. While my wife was busy preparing breakfast in the kitchen, I sneaked out capturing the morning scene in the nearby area.
Thought of calling a neighbor Apai to join me, but on second thought, I knew he wouldn't wake up that early on weekend. Then Azrul came across my mind but I quickly canceled him off knowing he has to spend time "entertaining" his constipation every morning.
After a couple of minutes drive, I settled at the gateway in the back entrance of our housing estate in Saujana Utama (SU) that leads to Puncak Alam and Shah Alam.
The early morning sun hidden behind the houses on the slope was very kind to light up the sky for me – just nice for my capture.
After a few shots, I then packed up and head home. The whole affair took me about 15 minutes or so, even my wife hardly noticed I went missing in those short minutes. If the trend is such, my wife is not aware of my missing, next time I'll try to have a short date with a girl and come back in flash pretending nothing happened. Wahahaha!!!
