One of the things I miss at not being able to buy Matchbox from Morrisons is the excitement of actually walking down very aisle of their stores in search of new models. You would walk in and within the first few aisles you would know instantly whether they had restocked with new batches and if they did I would hurriedly trot down every one with arms flailing everywhere like a demented octopus pulling models off the clip strips and into my basket! The only trouble with that is the odd casting I didn't want would end up there too and by the time I got to the tills I would be too embarrassed to take it back! That is the only reason why this Quick Sander is in my collection as it really is the type of Matchbox generic vehicle I don't actively collect or seek out but in a perverse way i'm glad on this occasion I did. Maybe its this attractive colour scheme but there is definitely hints of a believable Paris Dakar type vehicle bursting to get out with its raised ride height and full length mud flaps. Not one I will ever buy again but an experience in showing a tiny bit of restraint when out diecast shopping! :-p

Bought back in March 2016. Mint and boxed.

Here's a stocking adjustment, executed publicly and in full view on a higher walkway in the hotel lobby. Nobody is near though so if I do it quickly probably no one will notice, and the short skirt enables me to be super fast and discrete. It's always a joy to do a stocking adjustment as it makes me feel so feminine and seductive, and although nobody may see me here I still know that you are watching. 😉

Quick is a chain of Hamburger restaurants mainly in Belgium and France. This is the Quick Drive of the restaurant in Englos near Lille. It is remodelled in recent years.

When I saw this www.fatquarterly.com/quick-curved-ruler-brioni-2.html , I just had to make one for myself. I think these are one of the coolest blocks I've seen. I hope she takes it as a compliment that I copied.

A small fast moving spider as I photographed flies and wasps on Verticordia around a small swamp.

She actually dried out a lot faster than we thought she might

I looked out my living room window back in September and spied the teddy bear that the garbagemen saved from the fate of the crusher and quickly got my camera and shot this from inside. I didn't notice the teddy's friend until I looked at the photo; just to the right of the teddy, you'll see some sort of action figure. I guess these are the garbage truck mascots....at least for the day, anyway.

Very hastily put together shot today, so nothing very different with the setup.

The subject placed on a sheet of glass painted black on the underside.

Black background approx 12inches/300mm behind.

A pair of 20W CFL lamps placed to the sides in modified Pringles tube reflectors.

Between the lights and subject, a pair of screens containing tracing paper to soften the light.

Finally a couple of black cards placed behind the lights, to prevent stray light from hitting the background.

Job done and click ;-)

Since I was away from my home church on Easter, I found this sweet little chapel in the park to say a prayer in. It is very moving to watch people from all over kneeling to say a quick prayer before they continue on their way. You can make a list of things that is wrong with this shot and my editing but when I sober up from sleep deprivation I might care. Just don't look at it large, just feel it.

I started my quick card 1/2 hour late and I am afraid it shows. Notice the upside down patterned paper. Oops! And that was the third try at it. But I think I got it in just under the wire.

Things started moving rather quickly once the India- Pakistan border closing ceremonies got over. The same cheerleader who was keeping the audience hysterical and shouting nationalistic words was now urging everyone to clear out pretty quickly. He kept saying that the ceremonies are now over, and this is a high security area, so everyone should go out the same way they came it from as quickly as possible. Please vacate the area as quickly as possible, this is a high security area, he kept repeating again and again into the loudspeaker. (India-Pakistan border at Wagah, near Amritsar, India, Nov. 2017)

Released in 2011 by Hot Toys. I bought this one in 2016 as used from Thailand. Unfortunately this one also has that pink panty but not a biggie for I have more Mk IV figs with intact red panties – although not sure if they will also change colours in time. It is dated and some features are not so crisp like more recent releases but I still love the doughnut and the case in the set!
