During our trip, the staff were always painting parts of the ship, it seems there was a quick visit to my cabin at an earlier time

"Quickly--

The blood races through my veins

Quickly,

Loudly,

I wanna hear those sugar bells ring."

Wow. "Sugar bells... A wishing well of butterfly tears". Explicating poetic imagery--those were always the toughest essay questions. Terence Trent D'Arby hit the music scene with huge expectations--the "next Prince" (er...the artist formerly known as....) It was hard to keep it all straight--but there was no denying his music talent, What followed was less spectacular--music industry fueds, canceled contracts, finally a name change (he's now "Sananda Francesco Maitreya".)

His career as a musician started when he went AWOL from the Army while serving in Germany. Now he's gone AWOL from the recording industry, chosing instead to release his music on mp3s throuh his website: Sanandama Matreya Music Store

Take a listen to these few teardrops in that sea of butterfly tears--there's no denying the spark of musical genius, not only because it's good, but because genius so often travels with its' running buddy-- (self-imposed?) adversity.

"A wishing well. of butterfly tears

Wish me love a wishing well

To kiss and tell

A wishing well of crocodile cheers."

The village of Ogossagou is located 144 kilometres from the town of Sévaré in the Mopti region of central Mali. Ogossagou has been the site of two massacres between local ethnic groups in the space of two years, resulting in numerous casualties. For the last two years peacekeepers from Senegal serving with the Quick Reaction Force (QRF) of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) has secured a temporary operational base (TOB) in the village. The village of Ogossagou is difficult to access by land due to the security situation, terrorist attacks and Improvised Explosive Device (IED), and to the isolation of the village. Recently calm has returned to Ogossagou with the signing of local agreements between the two communities.

Street + Olympus XA-2 + Lomography BW Earl Grey 100 film + bleach.

See the complete set "Early Grey BW souped chemicals" at my Lomography home.

It is an old one released in 2009 and compare with more recent Predator figures it is not as good in many aspects but it comes with cool accessories such as the human trophy and the medical kit, etc. but most of all, the packaging with clear outer sleeve which gives the impression of the Predator in stealth mode is out of this world! As I said, Hot Toys’ older figures have much elaborate boxes.

The cheetah, laying down, started twitching its tail. That was the cue that it was about to make a move. I was fully prepared, looking at it through my lens, ready to fire. Then it moved so suddenly that by the time I could take the first shot, it was halfway up, and it was fully up and walking in less than one second from a totally laying down position!

This is the 3rd in a sequence of four shot were all taken in less than 1 second. Maybe about 0.8 seconds. The 5DSR has a 5 fps frame rate, and all these four images have the same time stamp. Looking at the last photo, it is impossible to say it was laying down flat less than a second previously!

And that was just routine, everyday "getting up", not for starting a hunt or anything. It is really amazing how quick a cheetah is, and yet, its movements are so elegant and graceful, without any jerkiness or awkwardity about them.

Quick Report @ Dream Party 2013 Autumn

Photograph taken in the magic of the Golden Hour around sunrise at 04:35am on Saturday 1st June 2013, twenty minutes away from my home, off Lullingstone Lane and the road leading to' Eagle Heights birds of prey centre', in the field which overlooks Eynsford Viaduct in the village of Eynsford, Kent, England.

The beauty of each new morning as the light breaks through, the magic of The Golden Hour arouynd sunrise, never fails to enthrall me and sometimes the simplest of things can be the one which catches my eye. Silence all around before the community awakens, I am never happier than when out on a morning photoshoot, admiring Mother Nature as she goes about her business.

This is something I made quick-quick yesterday for the child of some friends. She's only 7 months old, but she seemed to like it! (Indicated by much tail chewing).

Yes, the skirt has chickens on it.

Quick Report @ Dream Party 2013 Autumn

I recorded what I did, and decided to share it here. Invented on the spot, it looked and tasted good enough to repeat. Got home from errands at 3pm rather hungry, having had only an apple for lunch. Here's what got mixed together and stuffed into whole wheat pita bread. Carrot sticks and sliced orange on the side. As I like to say, "You'd pay such-and-such for this in the Fancy Sandwich Shop!"

Enough for two hungry adults.

VegPita

Chopped by hand, but I suppose one could do it in a processor using quick bursts, but be careful not to turn it to mush. Hand is better, in my opinion, for something you want in small chunks/dice.

1/2 spear broccoli, raw

1/2 medium carrot, raw, peeled and grated (slice rest of carrot in sticks for side of plate)

2 cloves garlic, chopped

bit of onion, if you have it--I didn't bother

small chunk of firm tofu

2 T. cottage cheese

1 T. mayonnaise

2 t. curry powder

healthy shake of salt and pepper, to taste

chopped fresh tarragon from the garden, or whatever leafy herb appeals

Mix well together and stuff into pita halves. Lettuce leaves and more mayo would make it prettier, but also add calories. It was quite good plain!

Enjoy!
