Quick shot i stole behind the scenes... Stealing things is a glorious occupations, particularly in the art world.

A quick iPhone shot that show an interesting meet of three trains in Santa Clara. To my surprise got the Mission Bay clearance to depart, even though you could hear the horn of the approaching Capitol Corridor. This is Capitol Corridor 543. On the left the arrival of Caltrain limited 416.

Santa Clara, CA - 2025-07-24

Took a quick trip out to the wall tonight hoping for some sunset action but it was pretty misty out. Had meant to head for Sycamore Gap but saw the light on the water as I passed Crag Lough and headed down to the edge.Hitech ND Grad 0.9+0.6 , ND4.

Processed in Lightroom. This is a crop as I felt like the edges of the lake made the balance seem distorted.

Gnutti was one of the first manufacturers to license the patent from Campagnolo for the quick release and make their own branded version. Gnutti also made this same quick release for Huret with Huret Export Italy stamped on the lever. Gnutti made cambio corsa derailleurs that were almost identical to Campagnolo's design so it is likely that there was also an ongoing business relationship between the two Italian firms. Gnutti produced their own high quality hubs, headsets, bottom brackets and cranksets.

Quick Sketch -ETt 11 Juin 2012

I did some messing around in GIMP with layers and came up with this. Thought the original image was just a tad underexposed.

After taking a quick shot of the rain on the new mini rose bush, I noticed a bug.....

The hole in the finger is because people do silly things, but the finger was placed to give an idea of the small size of bug this headshot belongs to.

For FGR: Show me your chucks

I'm too cool for chucks, so I'll present my worn out Quick shoes. It's some kind of retro model they did for a couple of years about 10 years ago. I haven't been able to get another pair and the newest models are pretty lame.

A few quick shots today.

This morning the weather was still and hazy. The soft light allows all the tones to be captured. The algae in the foreground rock always amazes me in how quickly it grows once a rock is exposed from the covering sand.

As a commuter I often find myself going to H-E-B and grabbing a quick meal like this turkey sandwich. It's nice and easy to grab this and go about the rest of my day.

-----------------

Stage 15 of the Tour de France today rolled through this region today. Braving a rotten stomach resulting from a meal in Marciac yesterday, I found a vantage point near Auriébat. There I caught Thomas Voeckler at the head of the breakaway group. Out of shot are Pierrick Fedrigo - who took today's stage - Samuel Dumoulin, Christian Vande Velde, Dries Devenyns and Nicki Sorensen.

Voeckler must be one of the most cheery of riders, and there's never a smile far from his face. Here though, his tongue is hanging out as he pants away in the hot Gersois weather. He put in a fantastic effort on stage 10, winning it on the 'beyond category' ascent of the 17,4 km Col du Grand Colombier. I was hoping he'd add today's stage to his tally. (For those of us with selective memories, Voeckler wore the yellow jersey for ten stages in last year's Tour.)

As for the other shots, each is more out of focus than the rest, but I gave our Bradley an encouraging shout as he rode up here in yellow. Britain's never had a Tour winner, and it looks as though that might all change in Paris this Sunday ...

As for me, better stick to butterflies and churches ... and get to the pharmacy early tomorrow.

A quick visit, in passing, to the excellent Wings of Freedom Museum at Horsham, PA, USA. Sadly it had closed at 3pm which meant shooting directly in to the sun through the chain link fence. not ideal, but some superb out-of-the-ordinary airframes, including one of only four surviving Convair Sea Darts.

I forgot how much i miss it...but at the same time, i forgot how afraid of the dark i am...anyone know how to avoid that fear of being in an empty field at night all alone and NOT freak out? :/ anyhoo, like i said, i hope you like it.

Managed to golf this morning, albeit, it was quite cold. Time to spread myself a peanut butter sandwich!
