A cold January evening visiting Rue du Petit-Champlain in the Petit Champlain district, at the foot of Cap Diamant. It contains many boutique shops. Quartier du Petit Champlain is claimed to be the oldest commercial district in North America. It is named for Samuel de Champlain, who founded Quebec City in 1608.

Esch-Belval de son vrai nom, Belval est un nouveau quartier urbain situé sur les communes d'Esch-sur-Alzette et de Sanem au Grand-Duché de Luxembourg.
Ce nouveau site est issu de la reconversion de l'ancienne usine sidérurgique de Belval à la suite de l'abandon de la production d'acier au Luxembourg qui l'a laissé en état de friche industrielle. Le projet accueille d'ores-et-déjà le campus principal de l’Université du Luxembourg, la Rockhal ainsi que plusieurs entreprises du secteur tertiaire et de nombreux logements multi-culturels.

Esch-Belval by its real name, Belval is a new urban district located in the municipalities of Esch-sur-Alzette and Sanem in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
This new site is the result of the conversion of the former Belval steelworks following the abandonment of steel production in Luxembourg, which left it in a state of industrial wasteland. The project already hosts the main campus of the University of Luxembourg, the Rockhal as well as several companies in the tertiary sector and numerous multi-cultural accommodations.
The term "Latin Quarter" originates from Paris and refers to the arrondissement where the university was located, with instruction delivered in Latin. The Montreal usage of this expression dates back to 1876, when a branch of Laval University, the precursor to the University of Montreal, settled in this area.
Le terme "Quartier latin" est d'origine parisienne et désigne l'arrondissement où s'élevait l'université, dont l'enseignement était dispensé en latin. L'usage montréalais de cette expression remonte à 1876 lorsqu'une filiale de l'Université Laval, l'ancêtre de l'Université de Montréal vient s'installer dans ce secteur.

Le musée Le Secq des Tournelles est un musée de la ferronnerie installé dans une ancienne église désaffectée à Rouen. L'édifice est situé dans le quartier Vieux-Marché - Cathédrale, à proximité immédiate de l'église Saint-Godard et du musée des Beaux-Arts.
Il a été fondé en 1920. Il occupe l'ancienne église Saint-Laurent datant des XVe et XVIe siècles. Il contient une collection de ferronnerie léguée par Henri Le Secq des Tournelles (1854-1925) et qui avait été commencée en 1862 par son père Henri Le Secq.
L'ancienne église avait accueilli en ses murs de 1911 à 1920 le musée d'Art normand qui comptait déjà une partie de la collection des Le Secq des Tournelles.
Le musée dispose d'une collection unique au monde de ferronnerie regroupant éléments d'architecture, enseignes, serrures, heurtoirs, moulin à café, outils, bijoux, objets de couture et de costume.
The Le Secq des Tournelles Museum is a museum of ironwork housed in a former disused church in Rouen. The building is located in the Vieux-Marché - Cathédrale district, in the immediate vicinity of the Saint-Godard church and the Museum of Fine Arts.
It was founded in 1920. It occupies the former Saint-Laurent church dating from the 15th and 16th centuries. It contains a collection of ironwork bequeathed by Henri Le Secq des Tournelles (1854-1925) and which had been started in 1862 by his father Henri Le Secq.
The old church had hosted within its walls from 1911 to 1920 the Norman Art Museum which already included part of the Le Secq des Tournelles collection.
The museum has a unique collection of ironwork, including architectural elements, signs, locks, door knockers, coffee grinders, tools, jewelry, sewing and costume objects.
Il Quartier del Piave è il pianoro delimitato a sud dal fiume Piave e a nord dai rilievi collinari che caratterizzano l'alta Marca Trevigiana. Corrisponde all'antico Quartier di là dal Piave, una delle otto suddivisioni che, sotto la Serenissima, componevano il territorio della podesteria di Treviso.
I comuni compresi nel Quartier del Piave sono Pieve di Soligo, Refrontolo, Farra di Soligo, Sernaglia della Battaglia, Vidor e Moriago della Battaglia.
Oltre al Piave si annoverano fra i fiumi principali il Soligo e il Lierza; alcune aree acquitrinose, che hanno in parte conservato l'antico assetto naturale, sono denominate palù e hanno rilevanza ambientale.
La zona è nota per la produzione di vini rinomati a livello internazionale, come il Prosecco, il Raboso e il Refrontolo Passito.

Elle est un joyau de l’architecture gothique flamboyante. Au cœur du quartier des Antiquaires de Rouen, l’église Saint-Maclou allie éclat et élégance. Elle est célèbre pour ses façades de dentelles de pierre qui témoignent d’un travail minutieux alliant finesse et tempérament. Son porche à cinq pans disposés en arc de cercle est une autre particularité. Les trois arcades centrales abritent trois portails ornés de portes en bois sculptées, œuvres des huchiers, les ébénistes de la Renaissance. Le tympan du portail principal présente de manière somptueuse la résurrection des morts et le Jugement dernier.
C’est sur les marais du Robec, ancien ruisseau du quartier de Martainville, que cette paroisse de drapiers et teinturiers, dédiée au saint breton, est édifiée entre 1436 et 1517. Sa construction témoigne du style « flamboyant », expression tardive du gothique avec ses décors et ornementations détaillés, jusqu’à ce qu’il soit remplacé par l’architecture de la Renaissance.
Comme le veut la tradition normande, l’église Saint-Maclou possède une tour lanterne, mais celle-ci a la particularité de servir de clocher. Sa flèche de 83m de haut est l’œuvre de Jacques-Eugène Barthélémy et est édifiée de 1868 à 1872.

It is a jewel of flamboyant Gothic architecture. In the heart of the Antiques district of Rouen, the Saint-Maclou church combines brilliance and elegance. It is famous for its stone lace facades that bear witness to meticulous work combining finesse and temperament. Its five-sided porch arranged in an arc is another particularity. The three central arcades shelter three portals decorated with carved wooden doors, the work of the huchiers, the cabinetmakers of the Renaissance. The tympanum of the main portal sumptuously presents the resurrection of the dead and the Last Judgement.
It is on the marshes of Robec, a former stream in the Martainville district, that this parish of drapers and dyers, dedicated to the Breton saint, was built between 1436 and 1517. Its construction bears witness to the "flamboyant" style, a late expression of Gothic with its detailed decorations and ornamentation, until it was replaced by Renaissance architecture. As is the Norman tradition, the Saint-Maclou church has a lantern tower, but this one has the particularity of serving as a bell tower. Its 83m high spire is the work of Jacques-Eugène Barthélémy and was built from 1868 to 1872.
