Candid shot from a recent trip to the Riparian Preserve in Gilbert, Arizona, USA. Whatever the situation is here it looks like quality time together. This is Joe and Aaron, I met them on a walk the other day.
This perfect one-point symmetry caught my eyes when transferring at the Zürich Hauptbahnhof.
I processed a balanced and a photographic HDR photo from a RAW exposure, merged them, carefully adjusted the color balance and curves, desaturated the image, and blended 50% of the red back in. I appreciate and welcome constructive feedback.

En el orden magnifico que reina el universo, Dios, en su infinito poder, se valio de unos seres de espiritu puro y excelso, para comunicarse con el ser humano.

criaturas dotadas de una inteligencia,

capaces de eliminar toda oscuridad y sombra en nuestro interior.
Los guardianes de los cielos estan en la Tierra para traer un mensaje,
habitan el reino de lo invisible para iluminar las almas de los perdidos,
de los que vagan estancados por las laberinticas calles de la opresion,
la intolerancia,el miedo,el fanatismo.
Su energia penetrara por tu oido hasta tu corazon
y ya nunca volveras a ser el mismo,

Conrail went on a Quality kick in the mid-1990's and slapped "Conrail Quality" on everything. C40-8W 6149 was delivered in the Quality scheme and was leading train PIBA-7 through Marysville.
Trailing the GE was SD60M 5557 and SD40-2 6487 on that chilly afternoon back in 1994.
A trio of former Conrail motors now in the employ of Norfolk Southern was rolling south on former Wisconsin Central's Waukesha Subdivision over a decade ago.
The worn Conrail blue colors and faded lettering on the lead C40-8W hardly presents an impression of Quality. The trailing motors also show the severe lack of Quality at Prairie Crossing.
Was a retro-styled dry-cleaner, with wings. Now, permanently pressed.

Water quality in the River Mersey had been severely affected by industrialisation in the region, and in 1985, the Mersey Basin Campaign was established to improve water quality and encourage waterside regeneration. In 2002, oxygen levels that could support fish along the entire length were witnessed for the first time since industry began on the Mersey. Salmon are now found in the river. They can be viewed on the Salmon Steps at Woolston Weir And Howley Weir between the months of September and November. Since 2006 Atlantic Grey Seals have also ventured as far inland as Woolston.
In 2009 it was announced that the river is "cleaner than at any time since the industrial revolution" and is "now considered one of the cleanest [rivers] in the UK".
We had foodie friends over for pizza dinner. My son cooks excellent pizza, and he offers some unusual creations, such as steak pizza, Chinese style duck pizza, Doppio Zero pizza with arugula and prosciutto di Parma, and a desert pizza with espresso. Since we have these dinners I don't feel like going to local pizza restaurants.

My first still live experiment with minimum resources. Colors are OK I think, but next time I make sure I'll use a bottle with a classier label... Tasted pretty good though!
The glass’s shadow was just added to make it all a bit more interesting.

I don't usually do high-key as it requires a bit more equipment and therefore more time for setup and tear down.
In this case, there's a second flash in a small soft box positioned on the floor near Toby's rump, pointing up toward the backdrop.
And when I say "near" I mean within inches... I think I had to upright it three times this shoot just for Toby.
(Henry is surprisingly careful)
The backdrop is a real (purchased) backdrop and is large enough to require the backdrop stand - so that's two tripods and the pole.
In this case, the pole is three segments worth, which is too long for the footprint of my Studio (aka kitchen) and requires a bit of jerry rigging - think PVC T's stuck on the top of the tripods, held in place with rubber bands, so that pole can slide through and thus extend over the counters on either side.
Finally, high-key requires post-processing. I'm sure there are people that can do it SOTC. I'm not one of them.
So in addition to eliminating a few wrinkles from the backdrop, I'm busy evening out the lighting as best I can - mostly by making the corners paler to eliminate shadows.
And then, to add insult to injury, the camera changed its focus slightly from Henry to Toby.
I don't tend to check the focus between dogs because Toby can be a bit dancy and so long as I put him where Henry was I should be golden.
Only I'm not if the camera's mind wanders.
Soooo... a slider here a slider there (mostly increasing clarity, then tweaking Blacks and Saturation to resettle the colors) and we're done!
I liked the effect so much I repeated it on Henry's shot, even though his was actually focused.
Aside: this is the crate that's been hiding under various bits of fabric lately.
It's sturdy enough but lightweight, can be positioned vertically (as here) or horizontally, stacked with its mate to become a "bookcase", and is makes a handy container in my closet when not being used as a prop.

I'm not even pretending this is a good quality photo! It's just a FUN SHOT.
These two Osprey were fighting over the perch and it was an AMAZING site to see. By the time I got my 500 lens on and focused it was over! But I at least got this shot of the loser taking off and the winner doing her victory dance!
Funny thing is I saw this same pair set up the nest last May in a much more loving manner!!
