Un fils de gardien n’a pas oublié les « gommes carrées » (lance pierre) qu’il utilisait pour viser le haut du phare (du Créac’h) avec de petits galets ronds : « On entendait les galets ricocher en haut de la tour, mais on n’a pas fait ça très souvent car on savait qu’on aurait été grondés… ». Les jeux de billes, vélos et marelles devaient s’interrompre pendant la sieste des gardiens qui avaient assuré les quarts de nuit.

Markus Birkhofer démarre sa carrière chez Siemens, en Allemagne, en tant qu’ingénieur électronique où il pilote plusieurs projets allant de la restructuration à la stratégie, en particulier dans les spécialités du groupe que sont l’automatisation, les systèmes médicaux et les télécommunications. Entre 2001 et 2004,Markus Birkhofer s’installe à New York pour lancer l’activité de conseil aux États-Unis. En 2007, il dirige le projet de restructuration né de la fusion de Siemens Networks et de Nokia. La même année, il entre chez AREVA comme Directeur de la Stratégie d’AREVA NP. En octobre 2009, Markus Birkhofer a été nommé Directeur de la Division Zirconium de la Business Unit Combustible et Directeur de CEZUS. En décembre 2011, il prend la Direction de la Business Unit Combustible au sein du BG Amont.

In 2009 gaf Qu'Mar Ti-jin (een personage van schrijver Martijn Lindeboom) tijdens de Elf Fantasy Fair een serie Zelfverdedigingscursussen tegen fantasywezens (orks, trollen, tovenaars en zelfs draken!). In 2011 zal hij met een nieuwe cursus optreden op de EFF in Haarzuilens.

L'incontournable Pat Giraud est le "régional" de l'étape de cette région Limousin.
Une bonne quarantaine d'années de carrière, l'ont emmené, lui et son immense talent
aux quatre coins du monde. Son orgue Hammond et lui, ne font qu'un, et c'est un vrai plai-
sir que de l'écouter, mais aussi de le voir s'exprimer sur scène.
Il participe depuis 2006 à l'organisation du festival "Eclats d'émail" en Limousin, et a été
amené à accompagner d'autres artistes de renomée mondiale.
