I mixed it up a little on this project ,using a few different techniques with pyrography ,design transfers,paint and wood stain.

I lined it with this sticky-backed velvet, which is very handy but also somewhat fiddly. I think, on this project, I have finally worked out the best way of doing it so as to leave no gaps, hurray.

This is a set of wood bangles I wood burned(Pyrography). They are really beautiful. All my artwork is original and freehand. Elephants are my favorite animal and the Lotus is a beautiful flower...this took about 12 hrs total. The other, 8 hrs.

This is 'my' corner of the room. Behind the box are a few small bowls waiting to be burned or polished, and there are scattered bits of sandpaper. The tall white thing is actually a pelmet that hasn't yet been covered. The vase I am quite pleased with, I was experimenting with something I saw in a book about following the grain. The witch in the foreground will be a 'Keep Out, I'm Busy' sign. On the right is the Janik G4 pyrograph I use there; next to it, the tin of tips, and pliers for changing said tips.
