Detail showing the depth and angle of the letter stems. This aromatic cedar is fairly soft so you can get both deep valleys or shallow details.
i got a 10" hoop and bound it with 1mm brown cotton cord. then i used the same cord the fasten the veg tan leather to the frame.
Work in progress at this time. This is part of a design on a large wooden offcut tree section that I bought at the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

A small blue stained Viking Knot animal box. The style of Viking art is one of six that characterized the Viking age. I enjoy doing historical and cultural pieces from my own heritage.
The lid was first woodburned and then stained in an acrylic dilution wash with ink added.

This Audio Bee Cabinet is an amplified bee 'hotel' or 'condo'. It was commissioned by Toronto's Access Alliance Multicultural Health and Community Services for their green roof on Danforth Ave at Victoria Park, 2013.
