Two wooden postcards from 1900-1905. No space was left on these postcards for a message but they were never mailed anyways. These were probably purchased with just a light imprint of the image and the buyer was supposed to finish the artwork. The image was finished with pyrography to burn the outline of the image and add the background and then it was hand painted. Looks like a nice job to me. These were nailed to the wall for decoration. Made from three layers of wood to prevent warping. Looks like poplar (whitewood). These are the first wooden postcards I have ever seen.
This was a commission piece and measures over 50cm by 50cm in size. It is the largest and most ambitious project I have ever undertaken, and involved over 30 hours of design and making.
Pyrography (woodburning) artwork based on Suzuki Harunobu ukiyo print. Made by me and immediately sold.
This antique pipe rack from 1910 is an excellent example of pyrography, the art of wood burning, also known as Flemish art or poker work. The hanging stand was made from a kit by Golde. It features a rack for six pipes and is decorated with a picture of a man smoking a cigar. On the back is a stamp that says Pyro-Art Wood with Golde in the middle, plus the wood-burned signature Maron 19, 1910.
2008 pyrography on pine. Tyr and Fenrir with Tyr's hand. I probably should have colored this one , but after I finished burning it I thought it looked better not colored, so I varnished it right away.

The prayer of "Ana Bekoah" is a request from God to help us.
"Ana Bekoah" prayer is named also Shem ben Mem-Bet, which means: Name of 42 letters prayer. Actually the name "Ana Bekoah" is because of the first two words that open the prayer.
The significant part of the prayer is not the words themselves, but rather the first letter of each word. These letters taken together comprise the 42 letter name of Hashem, also known as the Holy Name of Creation.
The Prayer:
Ana becho'ach, g'dulat yemincha, tatir tz'rura
Kabel rinat amcha sagveinu, tahareinu nora
Na gibor dorshei yichudcha, k'vavat shamrem
Barchem taharem, rachamei tzidkatcha

(Baruch shem k'vod malchuto le'olam va'ed)
English translation:
We beg thee with the strength and greatness of thy right arm-Untangle our knotted fate.
Accept your people's song, elevate and purify us
Please, heroic one, those who pursue your uniqueness-
guard them as the pupil of an eye.
Bless them, purify them, pity them,
may your righteousness always reward them.
Powerful and Holy One, in goodness lead your flock.
Unique and proud one, to your people turn,
who remember your holiness.
Accept our cries, and hear our screams,
oh knower of mysteries.
(Blessed is the name of his noble kingdom
forever and ever.)

Detail showing the depth and angle of the letter stems. This aromatic cedar is fairly soft so you can get both deep valleys or shallow details.
