1. Product Overview :
XT1511 side is a smart LED control circuit and light emitting circuit in one controlled LED source, which has the shape of a 4020 LED chip. Each lighting element is a pixel, and the intensities of the pixels are contained within the intelligent digital interface input. The output is driven by patented PWM technology, which effectively guarantees high consistency of the color of the pixels. The control circuit consists of a signal shaping amplification circuit, a built-in constant current circuit, and a high precision RC oscillator.
The data protocol being used is uni-polar NRZ communication mode. The 24-bit data is transmitted from the controller to DIN of the first element, and if it is accepted it is extracted pixel to pixel. After an internal data latch, the remaining data is passed through the internal amplification circuit and sent out on the DO port to the remaining pixels. The pixel is reset after the end of DIN. Using automatic shaping forwarding technology makes the number of cascaded pixels without signal transmission only limited by signal transmission speed.
The LED has a low driving voltage (which allows for environmental protection and energy saving), high brightness, scattering angle, good consistency, low power, and long life. The control circuit is integrated in the LED above.
2. Main Application Field:
●Full color LED string light, LED full color module, LED super hard and soft lights, LED guardrail tube, LED appearance / scene lighting
● LED point light, LED pixel screen, LED shaped screen, a variety of electronic products, electrical equipment etc..
3. Description:
●Top SMD internal integrated high quality external control line serial cascade constant current IC;
●control circuit and the RGB chip in SMD 4020 components, to form a complete control of pixel, color mixing uniformity and consistency;
●built-in data shaping circuit, a pixel signal is received after wave shaping and output waveform distortion will not guarantee a line;
●The built-in power on reset and reset circuit, the power does not work;
●gray level adjusting circuit (256 level gray scale adjustable);
●red drive special treatment, color balance;
●line data transmission;
●plastic forward strengthening technology, the transmission distance between two points over 10M;
●Using a typical data transmission frequency of 800 K bps, when the refresh rate of 30 frames per sec

The four new members of Microchip's PIC16F1579 Family are offered in 14 to 20-pin packages with up to 28 KB of Flash and feature CIPs that enable functions in a broad range of applications, such as LED lighting and motor control. They are the first 8-bit PIC MCUs with four 16-bit PWMs that each have independent timers, for flexible output and signal generation functions, including edge, center-aligned and other output modes. System-communication functions are supported via serial interfaces for LIN and DMX connectivity, while the family’s intelligent analog integration enables signal and sensor interface functions. Learn more about the PIC16F1579 Family at www.microchip.com/PIC16F1579-072015a.
PWM control of steam solenoid. This machine uses the foot switch, but is adjusted with a knob electronically.
The finished MOSFET DC motor controller, with speed control pot in a box. Built for a demo at the Battery Electric Vehicles of Bristol meeting.
An ATtiny13 uses PWM to fade 12 0603 surface mount green LEDs in and out, suspended from the PCB inside a jam jar. The ATtiny13 picks a random LED to flash each time, flashes it once, twice or three times randomly, then waits a random amount of time before flashing the next one. An incrementing counter is stored in EEPROM and used to seed the random number generator, leading to a different sequence each time the device is powered up via the switch mounted on the top. The LEDs are arranged in a standard 3x2 matrix which gives 6 LEDs, and for each position there is a second LED in reverse. The two column controllers are PB0 and PB1 as they can do PWM - another two LEDs could be added between PB0 and PB1 (and were on the prototype) but made the PCB design needlessly more complex: 12 is more than enough!

Finished, with dime for scale. This was later covered in a blob of hot glue to hopefully prevent any accidents. Note: this prototyping method is really not recommended for anyone with common sense.

Demo video of the first new features in my custom firmware for the Alpha Clock Five from Evil Mad Scientist Laboratory. The seconds hand and PWM dimming are available in the firmware source code.
This drives an 8x8 RGB matrix with PWM using Arduino code and DIP parts. Adding stacking headers will force me to switch to SMD parts in the end.
I just did this for learning KICAD

Equipped with sophisticated Enhanced Capture/Compare/PWM (ECCP) peripheral the Microchip PIC18F14K50 microcontroller could produce up to four PWM channel outputs. The enhanced PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) mode in ECCP peripheral is capable to drive the full bridge DC Motor circuit directly both in forward or reverse direction. It also could generate single PWM output on the selectable PIC18F14K50 pins when it configured in pulse steering mode. For more information you could visit www.ermicro.com/blog/?p=1461
She is one of the fellow walkers, Even tough she uses a Nikon camera and me a canon, we enoy photowalking together.
However, since both of us go with PWM, Photowalking Munich, she does not qualify as a stranger for the 100 strangers project
TR2 (PWM 2779),a 1954 built Wickham railcar (6878) at Gotherington,on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway. 26.5.14.
On display hanging down from the top of a dead tree. 9 white and 9 red high intensity LEDs breathing with PWM. Developed using Arduino, made a PCB for a stand-alone ATMEGA168. Two transistors drive the current for each strip of LEDs.
The diffusers were made with drilled ping pong balls.

One of the advantages using the Microchip PIC microcontroller Pulse Width Modulation or PWM for short is; this PWM peripheral circuit is designed to control the DC motor using the full bridge mode PWM feature. The PWM peripheral works by supplying the correct signal to the H-Bridge DC motor circuit such as speed controlling and changing the DC motor direction. Got my project working pretty nicely with four of the display boards working together.
It's so pretty playing Electric Sheep videos.
Still got to populate two more boards, figure out why I'm getting a little bit of flicker on bright frames, and build the module to stream the video from a USB flash drive, rather than from my computer. THEN I can get it all framed (and then figure out the best way to get the glass frosted).
