It was a crazy weekend of storms. Not many lightning strikes, but great cloud changing opportunities.

First bit of sunlight hits the beach of La Push, Washington, USA.

"I was angry when I met you

I think I'm angry still

We can try to talk it over

If you say you'll help me out

Don't worry baby

No need to fight

Don't worry baby

We'll be alright

This is the noise that keeps me awake

My head explodes and my body aches

Push it (make the beats go harder)

Push it (make the beats go harder)

I'm sorry that I hurt you

Please don't ask me why

I want to see you happy

I want to see you shine

Don't worry baby

Don't be uptight

Don't worry baby

We'll stay up all night

This is the noise…………

Come on push it you can do it

Come on prove it nothing to it

Come on use it let's get through it

Come on push it you can do it

This is the noise that keeps me awake

My head explodes and my body aches

Push it (make the beats go harder)

Push it (make the beats go harder)"

Garbage rolled a succession of hot singles through the mid-90's. The photograph is part of the original "Push it" cd single sleeve.

Dead Love couldn't go no further

Proud of and disgusted by her

Push shove, a little bruised and battered

Oh Lord I ain't coming home with you

My life's a bit more colder

Dead wife is what I told her

Brass knife sinks into my shoulder

Oh babe don't know what I'm gonna do

I see my red head, messed bed, tear shed

Queen bee, my squeeze

The stage it smells, tells, hell's bells

Miss-spells, knocks me on my knees

It didn't hurt, flirt, blood squirt

Stuffed shirt, hang me on a tree

After I count down, three rounds

In hell I'll be in good company

So I take a quick walk down the strip to see what I could take for today's daily photo. While waiting for the cross walk I noticed a tag on it. Not anything great by any means but I thought it would make a nice "urbanish" shot for today.

Setup shot can be found here.

Strobist info:

1 430EX 1/16 power snoot grid high camera right pointed at the tag on the crosswalk button.

The wind was really kicking up and I could see my light stand sway back and forth

Sorry for the dump but this is my last push to complete my Pelican album for this year.

While the push-up primarily targets muscles in the chest and arms, it also incorporates accessory muscles in the back and shoulders.

Pushbutton light switches always fascinated me when I was a kid. I don’t remember the last time I used a working model … decades ago, probably. This one’s in an unlikely location near the stage of the old theater, surrounded by garish wallpaper.

I had a great day shooting with Olivia , accomplished a lot of concepts I've wanted to do and feel good going into a new week!

If there is a button that says On and it is in the Off position people just have to flick it to see what it does.

So I wanted this MOC flic.kr/p/YLQEXs to feature a light brick inside the cockpit, and only had one possible place for a button mechanism. I didn't want to alter the look of the gun turret/base too much, turned out I hardly had to change it, only a round tile changed to an inverted round plate.

One slope is there to push the light's trigger, the 2 others, while not absolutely necessary, keep things straight & stable. The outer ring prevents the button from falling off, as it lets the round plate pass, but blocks the slope parts. Works pretty well!

(45 degree slopes fit the trigger's slope better, but don't work any better, only use more parts)

I also have a design for a clicky flip switch, used in another MOC, if anyone is interested.
