Not the best time of year to visit the Fairy Pools. This reflection was the best light I could get on any of my shots. The majority of the shots including the usual vista were rather flat as everything was in shadows all day.
What speaks most against visiting these pools during that time of year was the way there. I was more lucky than anything else that I didn't end up off the road as others I passed. The passing places were so deep in snow that you just had to push through at speed and hope for the best. Esprecially you had to hope that you encountered other cars only at a passing place when heading up.

The Macro Mondays theme for tomorrow, 9/12, is low key so I’m trying pictures with low light using my Iphone’s camera— a bit of a challenge to be sure! Presently am leaning toward the SOLO cup lid, pen2, or the button for the canon870…. I chose this one out of the dozen (and two colorful ones)!
Will also post some later *from* my beloved canon870, a point and shoot that I love using for macros but haven’t used for a while, during my 6 month experimenting with the iPhone that has now gone on for 20 months. (Please don’t hate me for that run-on sentence— grin)

Some from Kinross whilst waiting for a non-appearing Short-eared Owl - it eventually appeared once I had got home and tucking into a cup of hot tea - it was bitterly cold out there

These are Enzian Flowers, they always have the most beautiful vibrant blue. I missed the ones on the hilly meadows yet again so went to the cemetery to photograph these. They are a bit bigger and slightly different in shape than the wild ones. I don't know much about flowers at all and am unsure if this is a garden variety. In the end I just wanted to get a close up and the cemetery is always good for tame flowers which don't give you any trouble.
through the forest floor detritus. I came down with Covid for the second time last Sunday. It was not even as bad as some colds I had in the past but I am vaccinated and boosted. So this week I binge watched Netflix Night Agent with millions of others. Exciting adventure as small guy beats big guys.
A sunny autumn day here, still.and 16C. Have a good WE and thanks for visiting my isolation.

After the sad demise of my other pocket camera (the Ricoh GR), I've returned to the Canon G7X which I bought for very little 2nd hand. If you push it it can make some nice bokeh, and I am now having a 'second honeymoon' with it :)
