As the sun begins to set, a JS locomotive pushes back a rake of empty coal hoppers towards the open pit at Sandaoling which will be loaded with coal for the return trip to the disposal point.

Here’s various pictures of KN35s helpers pushing the loads to Mullens WV. These old SD60s were my favorite part of this operation as you don’t get to see these units around very often nowadays

Sia - „Chandelier“

Piano version www.youtube.com/watch?v=0e_3aIqkcGQ

Party girls don′t get hurt

Can't feel anything, when will I learn?

I push it down, I push it down

I′m the one for a "good time call"

Phone's blowin' up, ringin′ my doorbell

I feel the love, feel the love

One, two, three, one, two, three, drink

One, two, three, one, two, three, drink

One, two, three, one, two, three, drink

Throw ′em back 'til I lose count

I′m gonna swing from the chandelier

From the chandelier

I'm gonna live like tomorrow doesn′t exist

Like it doesn't exist

I′m gonna fly like a bird through the night

Feel my tears as they dry

I'm gonna swing from the chandelier

From the chandelier

But I'm holding on for dear life

Won′t look down, won′t open my eyes

Keep my glass full until morning light

'Cause I′m just holding on for tonight

Help me, I'm holding on for dear life

Won′t look down, won't open my eyes

Keep my glass full until morning light

′Cause I'm just holding on for tonight

On for tonight

Sun is up, I'm a mess

Gotta get out now, gotta run from this

Here comes the shame, here comes the shame (ah)

One, two, three, one, two, three, drink

One, two, three, one, two, three, drink

One, two, three, one, two, three, drink

Throw ′em back ′til I lose count

I'm gonna swing from the chandelier

From the chandelier

I′m gonna live like tomorrow doesn't exist

Like it doesn′t exist

I'm gonna fly like a bird through the night

Feel my tears as they dry

I′m gonna swing from the chandelier

From the chandelier

But I'm holding on for dear life

Won't look down, won′t open my eyes

Keep my glass full until morning light

′Cause I'm just holding on for tonight

Help me, I′m holding on for dear life

Won't look down, won′t open my eyes

Keep my glass full until morning light

'Cause I′m just holding on for tonight

On for tonight, on for tonight

'Cause I'm just holding on for tonight

Oh, I′m just holding on for tonight

On for tonight, on for tonight

′Cause I'm just holding on for tonight

′Cause I'm just holding on for tonight

Oh, I′m just holding on for tonight

On for tonight, on for tonight

This was another photo I took for the Macro Mondays group where the theme was "April Fools". I didn't feel I did justice to what I was trying to achieve with the image so instead I went and made magic with half a savoy cabbage! I thought I'd put this photo up now though rather than allow it to languish in my archives gathering dust for eternity as it has a little merit I think. Hope you think so too. :-)

September 8, 2016. This is the back deck at our house, which will need staining next summer. Good day today. Got some writing done, and some coding for Ed Radio (almost done this little project).

Accomplishments:

- wrote 'Canadian Values'

- coded YouTube MP3 conversion save as media for Ed Radio

Another image from a series of pastel images.

I hope you like it.

In another episode of "Man, I really wish I had my camera with me right now," an unexpected turn of events lead from me driving to the city to see some friends to immediately whipping a 180° turn just past Hardin to intercept the Savannah and Atlanta heritage unit I just saw pushing on the rear of eastbound autoparts train NS 120 across a corn field. In some sort of twist of luck, my old Canon PowerShot SX540 HS just happened to be laying in the back seat, which ran out of battery right after I took this shot. I'll take what I can get, I suppose.

1144.234, LPNV 84320 (Hegyeshalom - Bruck an der Leitha), Parndorf Ort - Bruck an der Leitha, 3.9.2024

Yes!

It is the same car... my "Elsie".

Pushing the boundaries a bit further with post processing, for better monochrome composition.

It is very different to her usual bright Turismo Blue!

Maybe somebody could help

or lawnmower.

This winter storm front pushing through the area has got some birds on the move. Its been a few wweeks since the Pine Siskins were here, but a few showed up today while I was hoping for the nuthatch to come by so I took some shots. They didnt stay posed here for too long before checking out the feeders and then flying off but I got one anyway! The winter birds are starting to get comfortable with me outside and the sounds the camera makes, so hopefully this winter season will yield some ( more ) good birds!!

A fine day for mowing grass. A polariser on the lens for this....as if you had not already guessed that! Super clouds against the blue sky.

The trainers sent me out in the middle of the giant pool and told me to lay in the Superman position. The dolphins (Triton and Belle, boyfriend and girlfriend) start at the other end of the pool and rush towards me, pushing my feet forward, sending me half out of the water, through the air with their noses. Seriously best moment of my life.

Metrolink F59PHR 873 pushes train 707 into the Fullerton station on a sunny and warm California winter day. Over 32 years old, the locomotive continues to power trains around Southern California.

I love to train at the beach. After a run I usually stretch and do push-ups on the beach. I balanced the camera on a rock to get this one.

Male Common Merganser

it was midday, and the sun was high enough to sting but not burn. he leaned into the weight, his muscles straining against the resistance of steel and waste. the dumpster wasn’t just a job; it was a symbol of grit, of resilience. his cap turned backward, tattoos half-hidden, he pushed forward, step by step, carving a path against the ordinary. behind him, the lines of the fence rose clean and sharp, a backdrop of order against the chaos of labor. his struggle wasn’t monumental, but it was human, and in that, it was everything.
