This stray dog from Nubra Valley (Ladakh) followed me for a while and then decided to pose for the camera for a long time. He made a great contribution for a new series I have in mind...
This bangles is made from an old plastic knitting needle (the middle bits - left over from using the tips and tops in other designs) and push pins (ones my mother gave me years ago).
I'm using all the leftovers and bits and bobs collected in my studio over the past eight years.
All smiles...these girls are not bothered by the rain and muck...they have their wellies, their balloon hats and iPods to get them through! The hardships faced by the walkers and their determination to get on with the walk was impressive.

This is a DJ-promo mixtape I made around 2004 that represents quiet well what kind of musical styles I preferred when playing out (although it was a lot more than just that). Some rap, some funk, some disco and a little bit of electronic music in the end.

Scavenge Challenge - Education Centre - Visual horizontal lines.
Does this still pull your eye vertically Crow? I felt that there emphasis was more on the horizontals - but it is for you to say! I didn't find the diagonal or vertical difficult but, other than using a landscape, I am battling with the horizontal without physical lines! Another challenge to be met! :-)

After a long push even 3 or 4" of snow stack up pretty well, making for an impressive tail of snow rolling off the blade.
Nope... not photoshopped.
Well, yes, there was a fair bit of slider pushing done post-processing to make the colors/tones more... interesting... but there was no cloning or layering or anything like that.
That is, you really are looking through a physical window (of sorts) to the boys posing behind - all taken "live" and in a single shot.
Curious?
Stroll down the stream (or visit the boys blog posting for the day) to see how this was done.

Pushing against Hyrum's hands to get a strong push. Note the pillows the midwife had propped behind me.
Road to bottom not finished yet after being torn up for services. This dump truck needed a push up through a very loose and dusty spot today.
Think of all the beauty still left around you and be happy.” - Anne Frank
I love the way photography pushes your eyes to see the beauty in simple things the rest of the world passes by because they see nothing special at all.
