Street side puppet show
During the day, we came across this Chinese puppet performance. We were enthralled, but there seemed to be nobody else interested in watching. Maybe they were just rehearsing for an evening performance?

I love making puppets with my students! Some of these are paper puppets on wires, while others were made with Model Magic. All of them were fun.

PUPPETS turning up in the Round Tower
curated by Lilo Skaarup and Janne Kjærsgaard
A plethora of puppets and figures meet up at the round tower. The puppets are exhibited in a new scenography that offers the perfect setting for dreaming up new stories and finish the ones we’ve started.
While the exhibition is running there will also be puppet shows and workshops where the visitors can make puppets and try them in little improvisations. The exhibition and all the events are for both children and adults and there will be guided tours and access to further information about the history of puppet theatre, new research, literature, as well as information about theatres, education and actors, etc.
The exhibition is arranged by the organization UNIMA Denmark, ‘Udstillingsgruppen’ (the exhibition group) by Lilo Skaarup, Morten Grue and Janne Kjærsgaard.
