Studying the details that make the puppet who he is, then forgetting perfection and just reaching for the "essence", becuse as the puppet said, "I have lots of essences!" (So much fun, I cold have continued with his other poses, but I had to move on to housework.)
The Holiday Puppet Show, an extensive two-hour affair, on Sunday. The finale was a sardonic take on "The Twelve Days of Christmas" that got uproarious laughter from the (regrettably) small crowd.

I bought a bunch of puppets from a cheap international chain for the classroom but I haven't used them yet. The quality is pretty poor but they'll be ok for litle hands with big imaginations
puppet theater from Bend the Rules Sewing. The stretchy velour curtains were a little bit of a pain to work with but I wanted theatrical-looking curtains.
One of our classic programs is going to be traveling elsewhere next year, but this year the kids loved Nitsana Lazarus' Traveling Puppets show!
I need to do a much better job of just remembering and syncing my notes with my pics (damn, gotta do the SHR again!)
Stupidly I did not sync the camera date up, so while it gave me date and time. it was a a few days off . . .
Some of the puppets that were for sale. I've always found dangling puppets a little disturbing when they are just put up on a hook--much better to see them enlivened by a puppeteer, or arranged in some way so they don't look like they are fresh off the gibbet.

This picture is from a session I did at CopyCamp on using puppets as a role playing aid. I wanted to mix a video but we got a little crazy and didn't make a whole lot of sence. So I grabbed stills from the video.
