Catherine was making shadow puppets with the light refraction in her water glass. This shot is right as she noticed me taking her picture. A smile quickly followed.
Taken during the Big Grin - a celebration marking the 'birthday' of Mr Punch. The date has been chosen because Samuel Pepys made an entry in his diary for 9 May 1662, noting the marionette performance of "Signor Bologna" in Covent Garden.
The Big Grin featured a parade of Professors around the piazza, a mass photocall, and then individual performances.
Joe crafted this puppet from foam-- he and his wife Jeanne Wall make most of their puppets. This one is quite a character!

Thinking of calling him Ollie. This puppet was made with one of those promotional $1 scarves from Old Navy. I *thought* I could get a puppet out of one scarf, and well, I did. But frugal me, thinking, what would I do with all of those scarves if it didn't work, only bought 5 of them. See the tag? I repurposed the tag along with the fringe when I made the puppet.

Mike, Eric, and I started a puppet webcomic. None of can draw, but we have great stories. So we decided to use our hands in a different way :)
