I took this at the famous Bates Nut Farm Pumpkin Patch. At the farm you can experience the fall harvest with the colors, scents, tastes and sounds found on their 100 acres. You can also shop for pumpkins, squash and gourds in a variety of shapes, colors and sizes. Bates Nut Farm also has numerous activities including hay rides, straw maze, pony rides and farm zoo.

Made for my mom, all three pumpkins had their cores created individually, then felted together as one piece before having the color added. :)

Made using the Decadent Fibers kit, purchased at Rhinebeck 2007.

Also, there are not as many glaring white spaces as the flash would have you believe. ;)

At the Bremen Pumpkin Walk

so maybe i started decorating a little early, but that's how excited i am for Fall to be here.

i decided that for the dining room table i wanted to decorate by mixing up pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns and small candles. --this is the start of it!

In the United States, the carved pumpkin was first associated with the harvest season in general, long before it became an emblem of Halloween.
