Ferry Plaza Farmers Market
San Francisco, CA
October 29th, 2011
Eatwell Farm stall at the farmers market, right before Halloween. Gorgeous early morning sunlight.
I made the jack O' lantern first. For the first time ever. I'm dutch so we don't celebrate it. But I immidiatly came with the idea to put it behind the dripping droplets. This was really difficult because I had no room for a tripod and had to hold both the camera and the flashlight. With the flashlight pointed into the pumpkin because I needed lot's of light. The droplets work as reversed fisheye lenses and turn it around. So this picture is upside down and every droplet has a different refraction.

Pumpkin time is here again,
Time to play Trick or Treat.
Pumpkin time is here again,
Our spooky friends we'll meet.
See the costumes we have on,
Monsters, ghosts, goblins too.
See the costumes we have on,
Hear us all shout "BOO!"

Happy Halloween! So...now that everybody has picked up their pumpkins, what happens to all of them at these pumpkin farms? Do they just sit there and rot? Are they made into pumpkin soups and pies, or perhaps they are used creatively for other matters.

Better pic of our pumpkins. I wanted to do a creative one I had seen on a magazine, with my own twists, and hubby wanted a classic Jack O'Lantern :) I didn't realize til later that he didn't quite remove all of my sharpie lines when he cut my drawings haha.
