This seems appropriate, given the season. I desaturated this image a bit, which is the opposite of what I normally do. The orange of the pumpkins was unnaturally vibrant, probably a combination of their natural color and the fact that I took this shot in the light of a sunset.
Ellie wasn't too fond of the pumpkin patch... she wanted to get back on the tractor to go back to the farm.
One eyed pumpkin is my seasonal decoration at work. One guy said "I like your one-eyed monster" and then we giggled
2nd shot taken with my new little Lumix LX5. Needless to say, I'm impressed. I'm really looking forward to exploring what this little gem can do.
My second ever attempt at pumpkin carving - it wasn't a 'thing' in Britain when I was growing up, although I notice more pumpkin-themed images in British people's Halloween pics each year.
Last time I carved a pumpkin was with my son back in 1995 or 1996 when he came to visit me in Marin.
This one was a bit more ambitious as I attempted go for a Court of the Crimson King vibe. Maybe my next attempt will be more successful.
Them pumpkins sure is tough to cut.

Yes, I still have pumpkins that I bought at a farm back in October. They haven't rotted, are pretty, and make me happy. They were moved to the back yard from the living room in December at Eric's insistence. They've now been rained on.
