An entry for a pumpkin carving contest, this is a pumpkin with the One Ring inscription carved into it. It has a gold patina applied with acrylic paint.

I took this photo of a pumpkin on my front porch near Halloween, and the overcast weather of the day made the orange of the pumpkin stand out against the gray concrete. The texture of the pumpkin's surface adds detail to the photo that contrasts with the unfocused background.

Huge pumpkins

This is the pumpkin that I won at Spooner Farm. That's my cellphone there for scale reference. I've been so exhausted this week that I haven't had a chance to carve it yet, and Halloween is only a couple of days away. Guess I should get on it soon. :P
