Week 50
Pump house on the water. The first three photos from this week come from an adventure through the tunnels of the Boston subway. Scott and I headed down into the subway station and explored each one. We were mainly down there for Scott to shoot something for a photo assignment but we had a good time checking out each station. Some of them are really beautiful. For the rest of the week, I didn't take many photos. Work was pretty busy and I spent most of my nights working on other projects or sleeping. On Saturday though I was able to get out with Eric and have a good time taking photos in Southern Mass. We found some cool locations that we photographed, we hiked though some pathways, it was a good day! We also stumbled upon an Antique shop that may be one of the best I have ever seen. We both picked up some medium format pocket folders and are quite incredible for the price. We will have to go back there soon.
I can't wait to see what this next week will bring!
here's something fun which was done for Art & Sole.
The TOY posse had to create their favourite pair of Sneakers. I went with the reebok pump as i wanted something that had a bit of a novelty to it. After some more searching, i based this piece on the proto pumps which featured a dial instead which looked more interesting to me anyway.
then i got carried away and made a swamp thing monster wearing them.

Go to any shoe shop in town and you'll find black pumps, white pumps and red pumps. If you're lucky you'll also find pink pumps, blue pumps, green pumps and maybe even yellow pumps. What you're never ever going to find though are purple pumps; they are the holy grail of pumps; the impossible dream. I've always found this very strange, as lots of ladies clothes are available in purple. But you're never going to find the matching pumps in any shop, ever. Frustrated by this I turned online and there they were: the elusive purple pumps. Although I couldn't try them on I immediately bought them, and luckily they turned out to fit really well. So here I am dressed in purple, with the matching magical purple pumps on my feet.

New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA) R3 pump car no. 20128 is seen laid up at Concourse Yard in the Bronx. The car was built by Magor in 1932 as no. 56.
Also visible in the background are R28 no. 7894 (ACF, 1960-1961) and R14 no. 5815 (ACF, 1949), coupled together as part of a mixed consist of compatible "SMEE" cars. The acronym refers to the novel braking system used on the cars, and stands for Straight Air Motor Car Electric-Pneumatic Emergency, and encompasses 12 models of car built for the A Division between 1948 and 1964.

Another from the car driving south on the I-5.
These things have always seemed a bit creepy to me.
I recently bought these blue pumps because I like their color so much. However, being new shoes they may start to hurt a bit when I wear them too long. Therefore I'm taking them off for now to avoid any inconvenience. Experience shows that after a few short "practice runs" they will fit better so I can then start wearing them all day.
Taken at the old mill site at the Monocacy Civil War Battle field MD. This old pump house provided water for the Civil War era mill.
Another batch of ex-Birmingham Daimlers has arrived at Birds Commerciial Motors at Stratford-upon-Avon. They are HOV 811, 810 and 814, they are 1948 Daimler CVD's with Daimler CD6 engines and Metro-Cammell bodies.
I never really understood the reason why the legal owner, fleet number and crest were carefully sanded off when buses were disposed of, London Transport did not bother and the livery of dark blue and cream and fleet number matching the number plates gave the game away. 99.9% of people seeing them did not care and the other .01% were bus enthusiasts who would not be fooled anyway.

Our DC Area Trans Ladies MeetUp Group's April "Spring Soirée" was held at the Fair Oaks, VA Marriott Hotel! ...And of course I had to have a few pix taken of me to remember it by!
My ensemble for the soirée is based on this slinky black lycra spandex minidress with one mesh sleeve & insets adorned with black polkadots that came from venus.com. I've matched it up with my super shiny black Platino Cleancut 15 denier pantyhose from shapings.com worn over Hanes Alive Barely There support hose from onehanesplace.com and my black leather peep toe ankle strap platform pumps with the 5" heels, also from venus.com.

Still pumping the water out of the golf course over 2 weeks after the flooding rains. Pacifica Pier and Mt. Tamalpais in the distance.
Here's a little skirt lift to show you my high heel pumps, which are golden too just like my dress. You can also see a glimpse of the big petticoat that I wear under my skirt, and under the petticoat are some white stockings. Come to think of them: will they be aligned okay or not? Maybe I should check just to make sure...
No chance she can pull the lever unless she climbs. Unfortunatelly climbing was not enough either. :)
So what do you do when your wife is surfing the internet wearing her new pink pumps? Easy: Take as many pictures as you can! ;)
