Slow roasted pork, pulled and saturated in homemade barbeque sauce, piled high on a house baked bun and topped with creamy cole slaw. This awesome sandwich is served French fries.
This is one of the lunch menu items offered at Daiquiri Dick's restaurant in Puerto Vallarta.
A nice Pulled Pork "competition" between the Weber OTP including smokenator, WSM 57 (22,5inch) and the BGE XL.
Okay so not a real competition as there are always to manny variables; meat is always different, ed. Still a nice thing to do.
In the end we did notice some difference especially about the tenderness. The BGE XL came out a little on top and after it the WSM. Have to say the thermometer of the OTP wasn't calibrated well,... unfortunately during almost the complete session the dome temperature was about ~20 degrees higher.
Well,.. we had loads of fun making this Pulled Pork. Best thing loads of PP. ;-)
pulled pork, fried chicken, mac and cheese, and cole slaw at Rack and Soul. i also ate some of anne-marie's baked beans, candied yams, and baby backs. OM NOM NOM.
Pitt Cue Co pulled pork with pickles and beans and Wild Caper bread. A perfect denouement to the birthday weekend.
At Nook in the U District. The best sandwich I've had since my own al pastor sandwich from several weeks ago. My companions had sandwiches on beautiful, flaky, golden biscuits. Highly recommended!

My table decided we are up to try the special.
The pulled pork was plenty moist and the tangy pineapple puree the perfect partner to add some tang and sweetness.
They were good and tasty tacos.
Enjoyable but not entirely remarkable.
Carolinian pulled pork with mac n'cheese and cole slaw sides. VERY delicious. The meat was tender and moist. Sauces complimented and enhanced flavors.
We had grand plans for grilling this weekend that somewhat blew out the window when I was called in to work Saturday morning. Fortunately, Zoe and Bean stepped in and started the pork shoulder on the gas grill. It wasn't exactly how I planned things, but we hit 190 degrees on the pork and it turned out great!
Use the rub from Steve Raichlen's BBQ book. Nothing like a crusty bark. Served with N. Carolina vinegar sauce. Woke up at 4:30 AM to get barbie ready. Took about 5 hours at 250ish. First q'ed hunk 'o meat.

Leeds’ annual food and drink festival returned this summer for an impressive seventh year. This year the Leeds Food Festival in association with Asda ran from Friday 24th May right on through until Sunday 9th June.
