*** rainy season is here... after months of heat... we brace for typhoons and flood... but like my favorite rain quote says...
"when life gives you a rainy day, find a puddle to splash in!" :)
The Friday Night Tea Party in the lobby area is a time to enjoy some tea and admire dolls. There's also some informal selling to indulge in.
How often do you get to shop in person for your Pullips? This year PUDDLE had several new vendors in addition to the usual ones offering up a variety of shopping opportunities.
Quaint Quintessence was also back this year with lots of cute doll clothing, hoodies, sailor outfits, and dresses.
PUDDLE Stands for "Pullip und Dal Doll Lovers Everywhere."
It is a yearly convention that takes place in Chicago, Illinois. PUDDLE 2013 will be its SIXTH year!!! It is organized and executed awesomely by Jane, (TrueFan here on flickr) who has an abundance of gorgeous Jun Planning/Groove dolls and who works her bum off every year to make PUDDLE a huge success!
It has grown every year, and we would all like to see it grow MORE.

I am vending and attending PUDDLE this year (and hoping to add a little to goody bags) as is my mom who makes Dal/Pullip sized carrying bags.
Oh, and if you want another reason to go....Ruby Red Galleria has been involved the last few years with their awesome product, and last year, Groove Co. was there selling limited dolls, etc, and they will be there AGAIN!
Want another fantastic reason to go? Owls is this years theme, and who doesn't love owls?!?!

It was a wet one this weekend in Northern California. What better way to spend a Saturday morning than getting bundled up, pulling on your boots and finding some puddles to jump in.
The clouds were fighting for coverage over blue skies all day, but got beat for some brief moments. Happy Halloween evening was cool and windy, but thankfully dry.

a worm! after jumping in puddles for quite some time he took the time to actually look into the puddle and found this little guy. He was facinated and grossed out all at the same time.
I saw this reflection of sky, buildings and overhead wires in a parking lot puddle downtown. We had quite a downpour yesterday with a bit of a wind storm, lightning and thunder. Hope your weekend reflections are beautiful.

New this year was NerdManicJewelers Unique hair bows, jewelry, and custom dolls.
Some how I managed to miss taking a photo of Setsie Silhouette's table. They had lots of wonderful handmade clothing.
Today was beautifully sunny and cool. Yesterday however was disgustingly rainy and cold. The combination made for perfect 5 year old little boy play circumstances... Mason proving my point..

Had a bit of time to take photos on friday so i used the chance and drove to the Neuenschleuse Harbor and took some ... up to the point where i really had to pee ;P

It's a lot of fun to walk around and look at everyone's dolls. I enjoy seeing how people customize them. But it's also neat to see some of the rarer dolls or brand new ones in person.
When the snow in our front yard in West Caldwell finally started melting, the melt along the edge of the front walk created a shallow puddle - okay, more of a wet spot - forming a humorous profile of someone sticking out his tongue at the snow.
I know the feeling. :-O
