reflection in puddle at moore nature reserve

Puddle of Mudd at Guavaween.

Walking around a construction site. In Jordbro. At the quarry, that once was a forest. Trying to find the best place to shoot some photos of the first building that is being built. I nearly slipped into this puddle before finding my footing.

probably the worst puddle in the world to try this shot with

I loved the colours of the setting sun reflected in the snow puddles. Shame it's a wee bit blurry. Something I'm unlikely to capture in Seattle, though!

Me in a puddle, I like this effect.

Mallards standing on ice with some meltwater on top. Must be a bit like standing in a slurpee.

BRAID - "What A Wonderful Puddle"

1:15 began with a phone ring

I heard I stirred but I wasn't hurt

tonight's lines are yours to keep

go back to sleep

and that's wonderful

when your world at its worst seems bearable

is it not so terrible to stay

and terrible to say

why won't you change

and walk into the rain

where we love to splash and play

it will be here forever

while everyone's so convinced

they know everything is true

all I believe in is you

it was a wonderful puddle that I played in

and I was so young when it hit me

in no one you can believe

but that's terrible

when these evil white lies make hysterical

habit forming beautiful

I miss my friends

they live next door

but insincerity is so hard to ignore

it was a wonderful puddle that we played in

and at two and a half we hit back

isn't that wonderful

that as they gather round our grave

to splash and play they'll say

why'd you have to change

and walk into the same

where the dirty rain drains

you're gone in the morning

while everyone is so convinced

they know everything is true

all I believe in is you.

Puddle along the trail in Turkey Run State Park surrounded by fall leaves reveals trees overhead on cliff walls.

Today it was really raining hard so I set off a little later than usual to walk the girls and due to the mud after our wood I went down the Cuckoo trail towards Horam and at what we named the smoker's bridge (due to the teachers from the nearby school standing there smoking) and then back home. So just three images of the trail and a puddle.

Bored on a rainy day.

COMMENTS DISABLED FOR THE TIME BEING.

I'm taking a break for a while from all things comments, both giving and receiving. I'll only be faving! :-)

There are only so many ways that one can say things like "beautiful light", "great composition", "super details", "so creative" or "have you tried doing it this way?" (critique) etc etc. From one image to the next I often find myself writing the same or very similar things. It all gets a bit repetitive. I often find myself saying the same or very similar things. It all gets a bit repetitive. I often find myself........ Yeah, see what I mean! LOL! :-D

Puddle 2011

Thanks for a great time everybody!

6/18/10 - Day 182

Skies opened up today around 4pm and the aftermath was a messy walk to the train station. Under protection of a canopy, I just started shooting feet walking through puddles. I chose this one because the leading line of the reflection satisfies today's Daily Shoot assignment #215.

WOOT! LOL I love puddles.... I'm going to have the get the girls some gollashes as well.

Taken at PUDDLE 2010 in Elk Grove Village, IL.

Early in the morning--setting up just after registration starts!

Not very urban.....more sub-urban, but best I could do today! Lauryn and I went for a puddle-sploshing walk tonight just around the streets where we live. Thought I would try to brighten up this very grey spell we're having at the moment by going for a bit of a high-key look.

Another puddle to jump in at the farmyard during the annual Heavy Horse Show on 17 July 2011 at the National Museum of Rural Life.

I've posted the photo/art contest entries I've received so far for this year's Pullip and Dal Doll Lovers Event photo/art contest. Photos here:
