inspired by magnolia bakery famous banana pudding, unfortunately i dislike sweetened condensed milk and cant find instant pudding so i made it my way, FROM SCRATCH!
Easy recipe. Quick to prepare, though cooking time is longer than the 5 min cake in a mug recipe.
Results are beautiful!
My first ever attempt at one of my favorite deserts, Banana Pudding. I followed the Nilla Wafer recipe to a "T". Can't wait for dinner tonight to dig into this. I am right proud of this creation. The 'puddin' and meringue are made from scratch!

I ordered "sticky date pudding with toffee sauce". There was nothing else on the menu which mentioned toffee sauce (nor dates or being sticky). And I was given a pastry case filled with toffee, topped with a massive clump of clotted cream (I think... definitely some kind of thick cream) and a tinned strawberry.... very very odd! Gave the sugar hit I needed, but odd all the same.
This is my dog Layla...she was ever present during the baking. This week I decided to try to create a cupcake all on my own. Yikes...pretty much up to now I have followed someone else's recipe to the letter. I put some more thought into how I could create a Banana Pudding Cupcake and here's what I came up with. Check out my blog, 52 Cupcakes, for the recipe.
