Beypazarı is a municipality and district of Ankara Province, Türkiye. Its area is 1,697 km2, and its population is 48,357 (2022). The name Beypazarı means The Bey's market in Turkish, as in the Ottoman period this was an important military base and the cavalry stationed here were an important element of the local economy.
Beypazarı today is a small town in a rural district famous for its carrots, (producing nearly 60% of Turkey's carrots), silverwork (Telkari), and a high quality natural mineral water. The crystal mineral trona, a kind of natural soda used in glass-making is extracted in Beypazarı. With its rich history, architectural heritage and attractive rocky countryside Beypazarı is becoming increasingly attractive to visitors, especially day-trippers from Ankara. The cobbled streets of white Ottoman period buildings are particularly attractive; many of the old houses have been restored as hotels and restaurants (and are also popular with Turkish film directors looking for authentic locations. Every June the town holds its popular Traditional Historical Houses, Handicrafts, Carrot and stew Festival. The visitors of course are bringing valuable income to the town, shopping for silverware and providing good custom for the food markets and restaurants.
For many visitors a major attraction is the cuisine, which includes typical Turkish dishes such as the yoghurt drink ayran, cracked wheat (or flour), yoghurt, and vegetables fermented then dried and mixed with water to make a thick soup tarhana, stuffed vine leaves, home-made sausage mumbar, and a stew cooked in a stone-oven called güveç. Sweets include the sweet cream pudding called höşmerim and pastries including a dry buttery biscuit called Beypazarı kurusu, and a renowned 80-layer baklava.
Beypazarı is a member of the European Association of Historic Towns and Regions (EAHTR).

i came in from the garden and there was pudding on the sideboard squeezed behind the clock in a cluttered old wash bowl with elvis looking over his shoulder. pudding has cushions galore and the run of the house but decided this was his preference :) after this photo i moved the clock. it's recently been restored for sentimental reasons. it has a mellow whittington chime and strike which i love to hear.

The Pudding Creek Trestle was made during construction of the Ten Mile Railroad in 1915 which brought wood from a logging area 10 miles North down into the town proper. In order to cross Pudding Creek the Trestle was built and it was used until 1949. The bridge itself is 527 feet long and 44 feet high with 34 uprights in it.

"‘The Magic Pudding’ is Norman Lindsay’s best known children’s book. He wrote it in 1917, partly to settle an argument with his friend Bertram Stevens of The Bulletin and Art in Australia, who maintained that children liked to read about fairies, whereas Lindsay said they liked to read about food.
So, Norman Lindsay cooked up a whimsical children’s book that is still loved around the world.
For over 100 years ‘The Magic Pudding’ has amused generations of children and their parents with the fun and harrowing adventures of Bunyip Bluegum, Bill Barnacle, Sam Sawnoff, the Puddin’ thieves, and Albert, the cantankerous, ‘never-ending’ pudding.
Discovered in strange circumstances, Albert is a magic pudding who changes from steak and kidney to jam roll and apple dumpling in seconds. Gravy-voiced and gruff, Albert is constantly being nibbled at by his owners but never shows the damage. ‘The Magic Pudding’ features members of the Noble Society of Pudding Owners trying to protect their pudding from Puddin’ thieves. Albert is cranky, rude and gets his owners into all kinds of trouble.
And it loves, just loves, to be eaten."
(National Trust: Norman Lindsay’s former home, the Norman Lindsay Gallery in Faulconbridge is listed by the National Trust.)

Haggis is a savoury pudding containing sheep's pluck (heart, liver, and lungs), minced with onion, oatmeal, suet, spices, and salt, mixed with stock, and cooked while traditionally encased in the animal's stomach[1] though now often in an artificial casing instead. According to the 2001 English edition of the Larousse Gastronomique: "Although its description is not immediately appealing, haggis has an excellent nutty texture and delicious savoury flavour".[2]
Je confirme: c'est délicieux!

Yorkshire pudding is a baked pudding made from a batter of eggs, flour, and milk or water. A common English side dish, it is a versatile food that can be served in numerous ways.
Being The Adventures of Bunyip Bluegum and his friends Bill Barnacle and Sam Sawnoff is an Australian children's book written and illustrated by Norman Lindsay. It is a comic fantasy, and a classic of Australian children's literature.
The story is set in Australia with humans mixing with anthropomorphic animals. It tells of a magic pudding which, no matter how often it is eaten, always reforms in order to be eaten again. It is owned by three companions who must defend it against Pudding Thieves who want it for themselves.
The book is divided into four "slices" instead of chapters. There are many short songs interspersed throughout the text, varying from stories told in rhyme to descriptions of a character's mood or behaviour, and verses of an ongoing sea song. (from Wikipedia)
We bought a stroller for Pudding and Shadow and today we took them on their fist outing in it. This was to a restaurant to have dinner.
Shadow was having none of it. He wanted to go home and kept on poking his head out. And made a big noise. Oh well!
After dinner we went for a walk in the park and then through the neighborhood. The boys loved it. They really enjoyed looking around and seeing the world around them.
My beautiful boys.

Pudding climbed the tree tentatively but poked his head out between the branches to see if I was near. He really likes the park but he is afraid of leaving the apartment.
