Pudding: 2009-04 Jul 2021
I don't know for sure that Pudding is dead, but it seems highly unlikely that she escaped the fire that destroyed my apartment Sunday morning.
She was a timid and gentle soul who was afraid of loud noises. Fireworks led up to the fire, and when I tried to rescue her, I couldn't find her.
Good bye, my sweet, sweet girl. I will never forget you. I love you with all my heart, and I miss you terribly.
With Trenitalia taking an involvement in the running of the WCML from today I find it apt to post something featuring their other UK operation - c2c. The chosen example is 357020 passing Pudding Mill Lane DLR station with 9B09 from SHoeburyness to Liverpool St via Barking & Stratford.
Trenitalia has been the operator of the c2c franchise since 2017 - managing the day-to-day running of services between London Fenchurch St and Shoeburyness. They claim to be one of the UK's most punctual and popular train services and boast about their award winning status on their website.
Trenitalia is the passenger rail arm of the Italian state operator - FS Italiane. They were brought into the First group West Coast bid as the specification demanded an operator with high speed rail experience, which they have gained through the Frecciarossa network in Italy.
They seem to be getting on fine with this operation, but the West Coast Main Line is in a totally different league in comparison. As a common user of the WCML route I can only hope they are a success and maintain - or improve upon - the high level of service provided by the Virgin group.

A gift from a co-worker! She had told me about these paintings/prints a few years ago when we were talking about Blythe and she brought them into the office a little while ago to give them to me. I guess she found them in a yard sale years ago. The artist is Maio and I think prints from this Harlequin series are fairly common.
Now I just need to get them home on BART and figure out where to put them!

Tom Pudding was the name given to the tub boats on the Aire and Calder Navigation. The name derives from their resemblance to a string of black puddings or perhaps Yorkshire puddings and the first name of original constructor.
On reaching the docks, the boats were lifted by large hydraulic hoists, from which they could be discharged directly into seagoing ships, a system which proved so successful that it competed against rail until 1985.

Made from soy milk, brown sugar and gelatin. The source topped on the pudding is brown sugar syrup. Very simple and tasty indeed. It may also be good putting ice-cream and some fruits on it .

making a summer pudding, 8.
Ta Dah!! Very pleased with results, a huge advance on my first attempt (strawberry sandwich, don't ask). Especially pleased I managed to get all the garnish off and repot the pudding after this shot!! -Back in fridge now (too early in the day to eat summer pudding - but looking forward to later).
Catch all the summer pudding action on twitter - hashtag #summerpudding. Competition organized by @maggiephilbin and @NickiePhilbin, judged by celebrity chef Anton Edelman.
I'm posting this as my shot for week 1 in Mr Moog's 52 Weeks Emporium.

My grandmother did always pudding for us with waffles. The pudding is easy, she also used Dr.Oetker, but the waffles, especially as she did not have an electrical waffle iron, are still unmatched... May be one day I will also roll the waffles... // Processed in Adobe Lightroom Classic and Analog Effex Pro.
Home made of course!
Because it was too wet & cold to play outside with bricks etc yesterday, at home we made a rice pudding.
It was Delia Smith’s recipe. A couple of weeks ago we made one with Mary Berry’s recipe.

Just out of simmer oven - 10 hours at 120C in water.
a wee bit late this year but it will be fine.
I have been making this pudding recipe for a long time. I adapted it over the years, critically appraising each pudding and deciding on changes to the recipe. ..but after this experimental tweeking phase it has become a stable recipe for past decade.

Light and airy lemon souffle cake baked till golden on top and dusted with confectioners' sugar; at the bottom of the cake lies a warm custard-like creamy lemon pudding. The combination of soft, crisp, sweet, tart, fluffy and creamy is just perfect.
