One of the remaining buildings which once stood at each corner of the old Metropolitan cattle market. Formerly pubs, they were named The Lion, The Lamb, The White Horse and The Black Bull. Today, three of the four remain and, with the clock tower, are listed structures
They now sit as majestic, um, offices and luxuary flats, sitting amongst the nearby ugly council blocks. Which pub was this, I wonder?
Pub Puutorin vessa (Pub Wood Marketplace Toilet) was still in the 1970s a public lavatory, located in a market square in Turku, Finland. Later it was renovated and turned into a pub. This is a miniature of the pub, made by a group of miniaturist enthusiasts in Turku.
The same town also has an old pharmacy, school and bank, all turned into pubs. The "school" pub also brews its own beer.

Another October 2007 view of the Kingfisher pub at Old Oscott. I primarily visited the estate hoping to get a photo of the 376 bus but they somehow seemed to be avoiding me that morning!
This pub has what you might call a colourful history - amongst other incidents, it was where Ronnie Kray shot and killed George Cornell in 1966.
