The Collyweston Slater was originally a 17c coaching inn called the Slaters Arms. It was renamed the Cavalier in 1973 before reverting to a name similar to its original. The adjoining row of six stone cottages were incorporated into the pub at some point in 20c

Warrington Road. Premier Inn to the rear. Question: Where is this pub? The Flickr map shows this as St. Helens (Merseyside) but I think it's still Ashton (Gtr. Manchester). Yes, OK, I know it's all Lancashire really but put me right. Thanks. Very handy for Haydock Park.
A lunchtime roam around Ocker Hill in June 2009 gave me the chance to see what was happening with the Bush on Leabrook Road. The previous time I'd seen it the pub was closed and up for let, so I was encouraged to see that it had re-opened with a fresh lick of paint. Sadly these happier times were not to last and the building has since been demolished.
Old multi roomed pub on Higher Lane. 4 real ales on my visit. I chose Wychwoods - Wizard's Staff and it was OK. Pub www.flickr.com/photos/garstonian/3708825429/
Pictured 1983. Opened 1977. Closed 1991. Current status: Building still in use - as a Pentecostal Church.
This interesting pub sign looks over to the fine statue of its namesakes fictional detective: Sherlock Holmes.
Great pub, particularly that room where the curtains are drawn. This week on our cycle ride we ended up here for a rejuvenating cup of tea which I needed after trying to keep up with Mrs Clappersoup as we rode up the hill past Corley rocks. My legs may take a couple of days to get over it.
I waited for this table to become occupied for 20mins (that's 1 guiness) - the panelling and table were so inviting

Super crazy night at the Minneapolis Zombie Pub Crawl VI (2010). I met up with my Flickr and Meetup buddies Terry and John and we followed the zombies for another 6 hours. If I could summarize the experience, it would be something like this:
11,000 Zombies + Beer + Minneapolis = Police, Ambulance, and Firefighters + Awesome Photos

A small project I finished a few weeks ago. While you are here feel free to order yourself a drink. They are all on the house today.
Image taken in the excellent 'Station Hotel' pub in Market Street, Oakengates, Shropshire - (Jan 15th 2011)
I was taking some photographs of this old pub in Witton, when this guy rushed over the road. We spent ten minutes or so reminiscing about the '80s when this place was heaving every night. I remember it from Aston Villa match days.
Does anyone else feel nostalgic about the old Toby Jug (although probably not the beer!)
The former Brunswick Hotel pub on Brunswick Street in Morley, built in 1897 and now converted into flats.
It used to host live music, not sure when it shut as a pub though, possibly around 2006?
