The Bell pub, Horndon on the Hill, Essex sits on top of a hill with excellent views over the Essex marshland, the Thames, Kent and possibly London. It's situated on what is now a minor east - west road. It's been there for a long time.
A rather bleak building, once a pub, on an otherwise trendy shopping street. It's right next door to the excellent Dove pub. It's since reopened as a cafe with the same name (Market House), and then Stories bar, since Edgar's, and then permanently closed in 2018.
Address: 30 Broadway Market (formerly Pritchards Place).
Owner: Greene King (former); Belhaven (former); Ascot (former); Brent Walker (former); Watney Combe Reid (former).

Riverside pub on two levels that is the Kirkstall Brewery Tap. Beards, while not compulsary, appear to be favoured.
Wednesday we walked 4km roundtrip from the Four Mile Pub northbound to Fort Victoria Mobile Home Park along the E&N Rail Trail.
After receiving directions from the friendly, park manager, we found our friends site but no one was home.
We arrived back at the 4Mile at noon and had lunch in the pub.
We then drove to the kids' home in View Royal to check out the hired-man's stone work in the back garden. Bentley gave us the grand tour and everything looks just swell.
The Horns is a Freehouse and restaurant, located at Slitting Mill just outside, Rugeley, Staffordshire.
Situated on the fringe of Cannock Chase the pub sign is of a Red Deer stag, one of the three species of deer that roam the Chase. To the rear of the pub is Horns pool, a favoured spot for fishing, and (when i were a lad, a place to find frogs).
