Henty, G. A. By Pike and Dyke a Tale of the Rise of the Dutch. London. First American edition, 2nd issue. a Tale of the Rise of the Dutch.Pictorial Binding. Very Good Plus, Near Fine/No Jacket. First American Edition, 2nd Issue. 384 pages plus the publisher's 32 page catalog. The second issue of the first American edition (only difference is in the catalog). Scribner & Welford was not a publisher but rather an imprint used on books published abroad, mostly in England, to be sold in the United States by Charles Scribner's Sons. This book was actually published by Blackie & Son in London and then shipped to the USA for sale. The binding is identical to the Blackie first edition and so too are the contents except for the imprint on the title page and the catalog. A beautiful copy with bright gilt blocking on both spine and cover. A total of only 1,100 copies were printed of the two issues of this first American edition.
… from the river! actually he had to use the zodiac ;] In the background one can spot one of the few urinators, very famous on the St. Martin channel.
One of my photos got published in the Dutch dive magazine "Duiken". The article was written by Steven Weinberg.

In scaletta, 22 pezzi di cui cinque dall’ultimo album Memento Mori e classici come Just Can’t Get Enough e Personal Jesus, che chiudono lo show.
Dave Gahan – lead vocals
Martin Gore – keyboards, guitars, backing and lead vocals
Touring musicians
Peter Gordeno – keyboards, bass guitar, piano, backing vocals
Christian Eigner – drums, keyboards

Grizz (Christopher Andelin) wrote the article and Corey Kruitbosch and I shot the pics. It was a thrilling winter fishing trip. Definitely one to remember, and for sure do again!
