It is really impressive how much one can do with stone. And how badly we copy it in all these plastic materials.
PUBLISHED!! I made it to the front cover in "Mi Bebe" magazine. In a local magazine. My first front cover and hopefully many to come! Baby Valentina is the one on the cover three months old at the time. I'm Excited!
Local paper published a few shots. No biggie but still something, didn't even know about it until now.
When you publish a book on Kindle, a great way to encourage people to share your book is to show them how and invite them to share.
I included instructions and this graphic at the end of my book. All you need in order to do the same thing is a basic graphic program like paint or Jing Project.

Winter art
Winter days are long and colourless, but one can find unexpected examples of "winter art." These photos from the Deerwood, Man., area show how wind and snow can turn the ordinary into the whimsical.
Who would have thought that an amazing mountain bike ride above Naramata in the Okanagan would have led to this? The largest photo on page 39 (right page, square photo) of the newly published Penticton & Wine Country 2009 Visitor's Guide is of a friend enjoying the last of a delicious gewerztraminer from Hillside winery. Happy to get a semi-clear shot on my pocket-cam after having had some of that wine myself!
My thanks and appreciation to Kerry Stansfield, executive assistant for Penticton & Wine Country Tourism.

During the Great War the Illustrated Chronicle published photographs of soldiers and sailors from Newcastle and the North East of England, which had been in the news. The photographs were sent in by relatives and give us a glimpse into the past.
The physical collection held by Newcastle Libraries comprises bound volumes of the newspaper from 1910 to 1925. We are keen to find out more about the people in the photographs. If you recognise anyone in the images and have any stories and information to add please comment below.
First time I've had anything published - some of my pics from Veteran Vespa Club Wakefield rally & accompanying report...
this is a page from a recent project presented in a two volume book that explores themes around home and growing up.

LITTLE Sophie has proved to be a real ray of sunshine - by using her creative skills to help her school harness solar power.
New solar panels have been installed on the roof at Lockwood Primary School, in Boosbeck, East Cleveland, as part of a drive to save both energy and money.
And six-year-old Sophie put her artistic talents to good use to mark the development, by designing an electronic display panel for the main hall which allows children to check exactly how much power their school is generating.

I just received a link to another magazine some of my work was published in for Healthcare Design. The project I shot in early 2011 for AE Design. I learned a lot of things on this shoot. You can see some of my comments on my BLOG post about doing this photoshoot.
Also, I'm not 100% happy with the shots they selected to show in this article, but, I didn't have control on that... So, I'll stop complaining LOL
Got the TOC ( Table of Contents ) shot in Trout Unlimited Magazine "TROUT"!!! If your not a member of Tout Unlimited .. It is a fantastic conservation group and well worth the membership dues!

I'm standing in my kitchen on a cold, wet summer afternoon making a Tassimo Costa L'or double shot Latte whilst taking a quick break from watching Sweden versus Slovakia (I've seen more action in a chess match!), on TV in the Euros football tournament when a rain soaked fox enters my garden!
My camera is upstairs still with the Lee SW150 filter holder and circular polarizer attached, and round here, foxes normally do not surface much in daylight nor spend long before scampering away, so I rush up and grab it, hastily tampering with the settings, forgetting to set the vibration control to the on position....
I'm skulking in the corner of the kitchen, shooting through closed, rain splattered windows and the fox can sense my presence and every movement. Far from ideal, but such a joy to have a few brief moments in the presence of such a magnificent animal.
And they say any shot is better than NO shot, don't they......

Here we see a young Red fox (Vulpes vulpes), the largest of the true foxes (a genus of the sub-family Caninae which form a proper clade or monophyletic or natural group). Red foxes are the largest of the worldwide foxes, and also the most commonly widespread across the Northern hemisphere, Europe and North Africa.
