The Psychedelic Furs are an English rock band founded in 1977.[1] Led by singer Richard Butler and his brother Tim on bass guitar, the Psychedelic Furs are one of the many acts spawned from the British post-punk scene. Their music went through several phases, from an initially austere art rock sound, later touching on New Wave and hard rock.

They scored several hits in their early career, but were launched to international attention in 1986 when the film director John Hughes borrowed their song title "Pretty in Pink" for his movie of the same name. A newly recorded version of the song became the Psychedlic Furs' biggest hit to that time. "Heartbreak Beat" from their 1987 album Midnight to Midnight, was to be the Furs' biggest Top 40 entry in the US.

The Psychedelic Furs went on hiatus in 1991, and the Butler brothers formed a new band called Love Spit Love. The Psychedelic Furs later regrouped in 2001 and continue to perform around the world.

GoSpeed Racer has one of my all time fav SL names xD GoSpeed in in the garb of The Villiage. We were speaking of The Prisoner, the original show that I love for it's pure psychedlic trippyness and individual vs society allegory.

LA Record Release Party - 02.16.07

My first car was a 1966 Volkswagen Beetle. It was the ride that took me and all my friends to the beach, to concerts or the occasional ill-advised road trip for distances the "bugaroo" shouldn't have travelled. It spent more time on the side of the road than it did on it, whether from breaking down or being pulled over by the local police, guilty of driving while being young and stupid. The repairs nickel and dimed me to a point where I finally had to sell it for my own sanity, but no matter how much regret I have for that car, I still feel a deep sense of nostalgia for the car and have vowed that one day I will own another one... just in a lot better condition.
