My lightpainter's pseudo-OCD was bad tonight. I could literally spend all night stood in a dark and derelict building waving lights and still never get it absolutely right. So I settled for this and be damned!

Finally I've managed to test my Canon 400D with self-made IR modification! The result is a bit banal, yet promising ;-) After all, this is only a test shot.

Beggars often dress themselves up as Sadhus hoping for donations. This interesting looking fellow was missing an arm and was begging in front of the Amber Fort. Politely though.
Real Sadhus don't beg. While they will certainly accept a donation, and some will ask for a tip for photos, they generally consider themselves above worrying about money and other earthly matters (like food and clothing).

Not a real macro lens used. i just tried "Reversed binocular technique" where in i used a telephoto lens on the camera then in between the lens and the subject is a "reversed binocular"
a pseudo-HDR created from a single RAW image shot from Karzok at Tso Moriri, Ladakh...one of the first uploads from a recently concluded trip through Ladakh and Kashmir.
Tso Moriri, in the Changthang (northern plains) area, is a High Altitude Lake at an altitude of 4,595 m (15,080 ft) and is the largest of the High Altitude Lakes in the Trans-Himalayan bio-geographic region situated entirely within India.

this year I will try to choose one photo a day for this pseudo-project, no matter the motive, style, colour or technique. encouraging myself to shoot everyday, even if I can't go outside.
Lake Ladoga is known as the greatest freshwater lake in Europe, and the 15th largest freshwater lake by area in the world.
This aero photo shows an interesting effect of breaking ice near the shore that makes the crack look like a river.
Very very early in the morning at the Gunpowder River State Park near Route 1 in Maryland. What looks like sunrise lighting on the trees there is really roadway lighting captured about 1 hour before sunrise. Shot this the morning my daughter joined me for some photo shooting. This was shot the morning of the last day in 2013.

West Midlands Travel, Leyland National 1476 in Wednesbury Bus Station in 1989. The picture was taken during the brief period when some of these buses carried this pseudo 'Metrobus livery'. To my eyes, this livery was an improvement on their original mainly cream WMPTE livery.
At the time of the photo, 1476 was allocated to West Bromwich bus garage, but would go onto serve for WMT's Delta Dart operation in Nottinghamshire in the mid 1990's. 1476 ended up working for Highland in Fort William, Scotland where it final met its end.
