On this day in 1971 the Erskine Bridge was opened by HRH Princess Anne.

In 2015 I captured this shot of the iconic paddle steamer PS Waverley as she passed under the Erskine Bridge in one of her regular Clyde cruises. She was due to return to operation this summer after essential repairs to her boilers.

A lovely hang at Heidi's.

Taken on Saturday, January 7th. A day of infamy and awkward.

An Arty-farty look at the rotting hulk that is PS Ryde. The Paddle Steamer was retired in 1969, and then served as a Nightclub for many years. However, it uis now just a rotting hulk, and is more than likely beyond repair.

What to do when you have a spare PS type B10M sitting around? Well, you chop a bit off here, weld a panel in here, relocate the fuel tanks, add some weight to the back do various other jobs that no sane person would dream of doing and then you have a unique recovery vehicle.

New to Cumberland and latterly with Merseyside within the Stagecoach group, K748DAO is now Howards Travel's wrecker. All the work has been done in house by the owners Father and incorporates a kitchen and seating area, TV/DVD player as well as a work station for on the road repairs. What started out as a project is now reality, and boy does it look good!

This image is not meant to be serious, I created this "self-portrait" mostly as a joke, and I must admit that I go over the line in ps sometimes, when I'm bored..I recommend seeing this image with dark background .Thank you for watching

The well known paddle steamer putting a bit of colour into a dull day at Tower Bridge on 1 August 1978, then only just over thirty years old.

PS Waverley is the last seagoing passenger carrying paddle steamer in the world. Built in 1946, she sailed from Craigendoran on the Firth of Clyde to Arrochar on Loch Long until 1973. Bought by the Paddle Steamer Preservation Society (PSPS), she has been restored to her 1947 appearance and now operates passenger excursions around the British coast.
