Another cool item on display at the Atlantis exhibit is this original prototype of the Shuttle by Dr. Max Faget. Prior to entering the exhibit a short film is shown where this model plays a key part. A fascinating artifact of our space history.

Truly revolutionary shape study - set the trend for 1

Truly revolutionary shape study - set the trend for 1970's and beyond wedge shaping. You entered through the windshield.

This is a Champagne Bottle that I made for LEGOLAND California's grand opening of Pirate Shores a few years ago.

I had to actually do a full prototype for this model and draw the brake lines on. Then as I built it I built each part without gluing them together.

This is the building at Stanford Research Institute in which Doug Englebart and his Augment team invented the personal computer. This is a blue foam prototype based on a 3D model I built of the building. It will eventually be 3D printed and used in a art installation.

I spent some time sewing yesterday and worked on this new romper set. Even though the prototype is perfectly imperfect, Babette is happy to have it.

The prototype of my Battery Management System, IC in the middle is the AD7280A the heart of the whole thing (bloody £7.25!!)

Prototyping for the Collaborative Major Project

Documenting the construction process of a platform dolly I constructed for filmmaking.

Step 1: Figuring out how large the dolly needs to be. I made it 2 feet 4 inches wide—to ensure that it would fit through doorways—and 4 feet long.

One of five 82 prototypes, the only one in break version. 322 production trucks were made in many versions.

Autoworld Brussel (B), July 2012.

Hybride car with 4 cilinder Turbo engine, 2000 cc. Gives 156 Kw on petrol and 100 Kw with electicity. Topspeed 200 km/h.

A rough prototype of a hybrid between a gargo ship and an amphibious transport dock. Basically, a cargo ship rated for combat zones. So far, the only armament is a dual 5" coilgun accelerated cannon turret and 4 SAM turrets. That is a hangar with a helipad on the rear. The plan from here: Tri-hulls, better defensive loadout, color, greebling.

prototype work done for IDEO Chicago. they supplied the design and I brought it to life.

This is the Patera prototype in its current state at Albert Island in London Docklands, just beyond the end of the runway of London City Airport. The 20th Century Society have applied to have it listed and moved to a new site, but it will be challenging to restore. Much depends on how deep the corrosion is. The wall panels are all dented, and the neoprene gaskets are hanging out and have probably perished. The challenge is akin to restoring a classic car found rusting in a scrapyard. It's sad that it was allowed to get into this condition.

this is the 56" wide prototype fabric for my spoonflower cut & sew bag contest entry, printed on sateen.

The prototype fabric didn't have instructions printed on it, but did have a bonus coordinating reversible foldover clutch purse!

Tis is my final contest entry design with instructions added (bag design the same as the prototype):
