Carly is a harsh critic. But she's pretty good with the grammar thing, so we put up with her.
The active triphosphorylated 1′-cyano-substituted adenine C-nucleoside ribose analog GS-441524 [(C12H12N5O13P3)4-] that confuses viral RNA polymerase. The phosphorylated side-chain has four negative charges and delocalized within the phosphate groups. GS-441524 is a metabolite from remdesivir, the latter currently in COVID-19 clinical trials.
An effective nucleoside analog must evade proofreading (by 3′-5′ exoribonuclease) to successfully interfere with CoV RNA synthesis for better clinical efficiacy.

Mother-in-law’s Bridge (Teshchin Bridge) is a large pedestrian bridge in Odessa. It was built in 1969, made by architect Vladimirsky. The bridge passes over the Military Descent and connects Primorsky Boulevard with M. Zhvanetsky Boulevard. Initially the project was supposed to construct the bridge in retro style, but in the course of construction there was removed the decoration, so the Mother-in-law’s Bridge has constructivist spirit.
"Mother-in-law’s" bridge is the folk name of the bridge. There are two versions regarding the origin of the name. The first one is that the bridge was called this way because it is long and narrow, and gets rocking due to the strong wind, just like the tongue of mother-in-law. According to the second, more accurate version, the chairman of the Party Committee Mikhail Sinitsa decided to build this bridge, because his mother-in-law lived through the gully. He loved her pancakes, and there was no direct connection between his and her homes.
Since recently the residents of Odessa have the tradition not only to launch doves into the blue sky and get photographed in historic places in the wedding day, but to hang locks on the fence of Mother-in-law’s bridge as a symbol of eternal love and marital happiness. Some locks have the engraved names of the newlyweds, some – the scratched ones, and others - written by a proofreader. In 2009, city officials decided to remove the locks from the bridge, arguing that under their weight the construction of the bridge could collapse. But the newlyweds and lovers continue daily to hang on the new symbols of love – small locks.
Saw this at the recent library congress here in Leipzig. Spain was the guest country, and they had a very attractive booth with these colorful cubes. Alas, their spellchecker let them down. Somehow, it is an endearing typo.
Found this gem of a screencapture whilst cleaning up my files. Sometimes one letter makes all the difference.

Definitely was falling asleep when blogging last night. Good gosh :P
Woke up this morning, headed down to campus with Roo-Z and Bubbles to start off UniCamp 2010 Session Se7en College Day. We waited for a short bit in Kerckoff then went to Ackerman Turnaround to pick up the kids!
Definitely missed them a lot and so good to see them enjoying life and what not :)
As they headed off to the Campus Tour, Veggie and I stayed with Patches who recently hurt his knee (left MCL) while wrestling. We went to the rooms we had booked and just hung out, chatted about life, college, his applications and what not. A few hours later, all the campers came back... we had lunch then I had to bounce. Fletcher asked me to watch a musical with him in the dorms that his resident directed.
"I love you, because" was very fun to watch, another life I'd like to live... definitely love the singing and acting world but have not been exposed to it at all. Definitely enjoyed the message and in the end, it's not... I love you, anyway. but I love you, because... :)
Came back to the room, seriously laid on my bed and within 2 minutes I was already in deep sleep. Took a nap for an hour... resident knocked on door. Then DSHIN came by to ask for dinner... so I went with him. After dinner, dropped by the Brouhaha for a bit to support Roo-Z with her acapella group. "I'm begging you for mercy... why don't you release me."
Hung out with Guac for a few minutes... we are both IN tonight so he had to go.
Headed back to the room... been watching the Lakers game ever since. Should have been working on paper due tomorrow but like I predicted... now that I'm "done" I don't want to edit or do anything about or with it.
LAKERS are KILLING it right now. too legit to quite :) Jeremy Lin haha. out of Harvard University. nice Taiwanese boy... heard he's really religious. not cute lol
oh, song in the musical today asked why we continue to do things to put us in situations that will get us hurt. STORY OF MY LIFE lol. because "it's better to feel hurt by him then to live freely without him".
Thanksgiving is coming up! I don't think I'm gonna go Black Friday shopping. Not sure at least... would much rather go to Disneyland on Friday and get my annual pass :) oh, and just recently decided I'd like to look into getting a new camera someday. we'll have to sit on this one a little longer. pooey.
Love & Basketball. I can never get sick of watching this movie. :) they need to make a new modern day version.

Today, I was proofreading/editing a camper's UC application essays and was enlightened by what simple things in life can change people forever. He wrote about never knowing what anyone with HIV/AIDS is like - the only person he knew was Magic Johnson. But one day, when he was volunteering to deliver food to people, he approached a beautiful home and was informed that he was delivering food to HIV+ people. Meeting this man changed my camper's life and now he wants to learn more about what HIV & AIDS is. I was and still am very touched.
What will it take for you to change your mind? Educate yourself before you make any judgements - you never know what you could be missing out on!
