For over a year now, Elisa and I have been looking out for opportunities to contribute to our Found Shadow Project. Here are some of the results.
We set up these rules for the project:
1. Only 'found' shadows could be entered in the project (nothing is staged!).
2. The object casting the shadow must be out of frame.
3. Only available light, natural or otherwise. may be used.

Our heat, hot water and oven have been out since yesterday. It is, shall we say, fucking COLD, in our large, drafty loft apartment.
Today, I am rocking my Grape Suit, mitts by the lovely Gwen, a shawl by the fabulous Ann, shearling slippers, SmartWool socks, two blankets and a giant pot of tea.
And since there's no hot water, no need to shower! There are perks to being unemployed.
Today, I plan to spend most of the day knitting, then meeting up with a buddy at a coffee shop for some job applications. Good day.

This is another one of my daughter's hot chocolate mugs, on the other side it says: "Follow your dreams...you never know where they may lead you." This evening my meetup group went to see a lighting art exhibition-y thing called Glade 'at a secret location'. It was good fun and interesting but we were not allowed to take photos. So I took my photo for the day outside at the marina.
Then we went for a bite to eat and a natter at The Establishment on Courtenay Place.

This is a continuation of the current project of an Image a day.
This will take a year to complete. It will be a "Colour Project"....numbered 731 to 1100 and it will begin on September 1st 2022..
I will also include an additional 4 Sets that will last a month each.
First will be Vines and Vineyards in November.2022.
Second is Forests ,,Water, ,Trees and Leaves in February 2023.
Third "Light Eating Objects" in May 2023.
Forth will be another B&W . August 2023.
On top of all that every month will feature a small set of 4 pics with different themes.
As you can see I shall be a busy Bunny!.

Ich hoffe, ihr könnt euch trotzdem vorstellen, wie verführerisch die Kekse im Ofen aussahen und wie lecker die Küche duftete ;) Ich habe der Versuchung jedoch widerstanden, mir gleich einen noch warmen in den Mund zu stecken. Da fehlte ja noch der Zuckerguss :)

It was a busy day at work, and I'm about to shoot out to see the incredibly long 'Batman v Superman', so in the absence of anything decent, here's a grab shot of some Lego Stormtroopers.
Don't make them angry.
You wouldn't like them when they're angry.
During the last two days I've been on a training course in work.
For a change it wasn't first aid but instead basic electrical training. There wasn't really much I didn't know but it was nice to get it all together even if it was a little slow placed. I passed and now I can change a light switch in work if I want to.
I'm not sure I feel the urge...

Did character design and backgrounds for this year's Mentoring Project ad. Very fun work! Produced through Magmatic NW.
The word, "holocene," refers to the era of the earth's life that we are in right now -- the time since the last ice age. Elmwood Park Zoo is currently displaying a collection by the artist, Russell Ronat, intended to draw attention to the endangered animals of our time. He calls the exhibit, "Project Holocene."
This is bass head harbor lighthouse. The sky was cloudy all day and cleared up just in time for sunset. I found my way down a rocky trail along with some other photographers to a precarious position to take many shots. The sun kept changing as it set. This is my favorite shot. It's a combination of three exposures.
And Baby Makes Four. My daughter, son-in-law and 2 babies. At her baby shower this past Sunday, my daughter asked me to take some silhouette shots of her. Perfect timing since later I saw this weeks project.

We have several peony bushes about the yard and all of them look like this; smothered in buds! I photographed the ones without ants; because of course, every bush is completely covered with them. Our tree peonies are already in full blossom! I expect these to start opening this week. Tonight; we are bundled up as it is dipping down into the low 30s *gasp* I covered our Hibiscus and Caladiums so they wouldn't freeze. Everything else will survive but not the tropicals!
I won't be around tomorrow so I wanted to get this up today and wish all the mother's in FlickrLand a Happy Mother's Day!
Random Fact: The Chinese name for peony is 'sho yu' meaning most beautiful. I like that!

My Sketchbook Project 2012 theme is Sandwiches. I am going to draw sandwiches from my primary school days (1970's Australia) . There are going to be some "interesting "combinations to draw.
Milo sandwich !! Honestly, my mother never packed or made these, but my brother assures me he had them, so I am assuming he made them himself as an afterschool snack. Note: no margarine
still a work in progress. Milo is difficult to draw ! I thought that this topic would be a lot less time consuming than my last two year entries. and I thought I would not become as emotionally attached it to. Wrong on both counts !
