Western Maryland Scenic Railroad staff make final preparations on 1309 before departing Cumberland Station. Shot low to the ground to get a sense of scale for how big this articulated engine is. I really like how the smoke emerges from the underside of the engine here, and the trees coming off the top behind it. Shot at 800 ISO, as requested.

version 2: edited to improve composition

on this i whitened the whites of the eye by doing a layer mask and choosing levels. then i made foreground white and painted over the whites of the eye to make them whiter.
