Taken at Tempe Town Lake
This photo is one of the posts in front of the boat launch at the lake. I thought that the rectangular shape of the post was a great example of shape, and the skyscraper in the background also does a good job of that. This was not one of the pictures i had originally intended on taking, but i think it turned out really well.
"Who wants to read five paragraphs of synopsis plot?", Screen media: analysing film and television by Jane Stadler & Kelly McWilliam, published in 2009. Fixed some problems.
The intention of this image was to demonstrate a shallow depth of field by utilizing a low aperture setting. According to Freeman, circles intensely focus the eye's attention and make surroundings less important. The circular shape of the spider web mixed with the f/5.6 setting successfully draws the viewer in. The spider was slightly sharpened, brightness and contrast was minimally increased, and the levels were adjusted for a better exposure.
The goal was to demonstrate ISO 25600 on my camera. Duchemin suggests using the histogram while shooting, and keeping it more towards the right for more detail. The shot could have been improved by letting in a bit less light to avoid the sharp highlights. I adjusted vibrance and saturation the same across all 4 ISO pictures.
