Lulu is still frightened, poor girl. She's active and interacting with her family, but when I open the door she dives for the safest place she can find: often the sink. And, look, her little sister was kind enough to empty the kleenex box into the sink to provide a bit of padding. Thanks, Fifi.
Lulu is less fearful of me at this point. In fact, I can reach out and scritch her around her ears. Lulu is visibly conflicted about this interaction. She enjoys the scritches but panics that a human is touching her. This morning, while I was petting her, I heard a low rumbling from the sink. I leaned as close as I dared as I didn't want to freak her out. I wondered if her stomach was gurgling loudly, but the faint rumbling persisted as I scritched the ears. Perhaps Pandora's and Fifi's constant purring around me is rubbing off. Perhaps that faint rumbling will gradually get louder and louder. Lulu won't take food from my hands, but she will eat in my presence. And now this? I'd LOVE to win this girl over. Only time will tell. . .

The current City Hall building is a near-50-year-old structure that has served the city well but, in its current state, is functionally obsolete. Built in 1969, the current City Hall requires major renovations that are complicated by the presence of friable asbestos and the way the electrical and mechanical systems were installed.
On October 3, 2017, Virginia Beach city council unanimously approved a resolution to proceed with the design of a new city hall building. The new three-story structure adjacent to the current city hall, between Buildings 1 and 2, is under construction and progressing well.

made some good progress in my fight to eradicate Dux QEST from our ensuite.
The crazy thing is that in discussion with many plumbers and suppliers, they all recommend Dux' latest offering (Dux Secura Gold) as the best available. I wasn't about to use their product on principle; OTOH ignoring the experts in the trade would likely net a worse result. So I'm using Dux SECURA, which has brass elbows/fittings.
removed all Qest, replaced with secura fittings, using elbows etc where appropriate. Replaced wingbacks with male 'pedestal' wingbacks, and fabricated new backing supports to suit. Insulated hot pipes with foil tape and Climaflex foam lagging. Fitted new seal kit to the feltonmix shower mixer. used ptfe thread tape on all threaded connections.
I guess while the wall is open, I should run in some ethernet, eh. at the base of the wall is my latest tool acquisition - a bosch oscillating saw (like the ones they use to cut plaster casts off at the hospital) - it's great!
Once it's all connected up, I'll wait for a week before completing the lagging at the bottom, and installing the batts before closing the wall up. I want to be sure there are no leaks. I wonder if I can hire one of those pressure-testing rigs?

Progress continues on the farmhouse renovation as we sort out what to keep and what to toss (including a mattress box spring made in 1945) and start to imagine the remodeling projects.
