Had this portrait been taken in 1964 rather than 2014, this indeed would have been Western Progress. By 1964, the ex-GW system north of Aynho Junction was firmly in the grasp of the rival London Midland region, but the Western had left it's mark.
Banbury's ramshackle wooden station had been replaced by a spanking new brick, concrete and glass structure in 1958, the King class locomotives were ousted from duty by Westerns and Warships, mark 1's and 2's were taking over from Great Western Clerestory stock.
50 years on and Banbury thrives. Chiltern Railways have considerable presence in the town as the Birmingham Mainline gains ever more traffic and riders. Even the locomotive hauled train survives with more to come as Chiltern increases it's use of the 67 hauled mk3 Silver sets on Birmingham services.
Still, it can never harm to review what's been and gone. And what better way than riding in a PV early mk2 with twin Maybach's providing the power?
The Chiltern Champion waits to head back to Marylebone with D1015 at the helm. Champion? I'll say...

And before anyone starts, I'm aware the Turbo unit behind wouldn't be there in 1964. It's a class 117 DMU really. Just use your imagination eh? :D

Lily and I were dismayed to see that one of our favourite forest walking paths has been cleared for an industrial park.
Made us both sad. Oh well, more exploring required!

My first upload in over a year. Hopefully something should be arriving weekly now, as John and I have restarted our photo challenge.
My first word was 'progress'. This is rather a literal interpretation, but also has metaphorical meaning behind it as this train journey started in a place of sadness and ended at a place a hope.
John's word was 'roots' and you can see his photo here.

It's been a big month for the RV-10. Both ailerons and both flaps are now complete and the left main wing body is starting to come together. Definitely running out of non-green parts in the wings on this diagram!
Parts shown here in green are complete, yellow are awaiting some final riveting or blending tasks, orange are awaiting primer, and red are works in progress. Uncolored parts haven't yet been worked on.

Cat-Mai - Mai with the Catwa Magy head - is well on her way to becoming a character your Mai could live with as an avatar (because, though you found her beautiful sweetie, your wife couldn't make a 'habit' of the embryonic Cat-Mai as she looks in those 'Dancing Zen' pictures).
Here Cat-Mai is born again with some modified facial proportions, most noticeably her mouth and lips, which are now literally Golden (ie. PHI = 1:1.618 = 62% on the SL Lip Ratio slider), a move that does give her face a je ne sais quoi in your Mai's eyes and renders her attractive enough now to 'live with' more than just now and then. If you like her, love, I can 'be' Cat-Mai more often.
Cat-Mai is showing off the Analexa small-breasted body, with a slimmer shape than even Slink-Mai used to wear. And she's been given a new LAQ skin (Natasha) which sets off her nose and mouth a bit more than the Camille skin Slink-Mai and MaiChai wear.
Hope you like her and these pics which really got me going on the Black & White and F-S conversions! For some reason they do this particular face more justice than plain colour does - whether that's a good sign I'm not quite sure. ♥X
I've noticed that PNG often mounts their entire cutout and arrester assembly when using chicken wing brackets.

remember the panoramic view i did couple weeks back of our church in it's old setting > it's here
this is what it looked like earlier this week from about the same viewing point. the preachers stand is down, the hall empty of chairs and stuff and the organ has been disassembled and stored. the builders have come in and started their demolision all over the place, removing fixtures, floors and ceilings.
(i uploaded a larger images this time for all the pixel peepers (whom will notice the stichting flaws of course!, i need to a) read up on doing this properly without a panoramic head or B) buy a panoramic head (yeah right...))
