Just a quick flash photo to show how it's coming along - I am totally getting this finished tomorrow. :D I have some brilliant podcasts lined up and I am FINSIHING.
It's a bit messy (and excuse the tape in the middle, that's to hold back the botched up knot that was getting in my way) BUT all the hair is very firmly in place and from the outside it is PERFECT. (and the aesthetics of the inside matter very little, really.) I have definitely improved and I am planning on starting my next the minute this is finished.
And the thermal saran is SO BEAUTIFUL and lovely :D and when I sit and reroot in my lap some of it turns yellow and it's so pretty
Testors coming in the mail so I can finish Addie's face and have my thermal girl back together. :D :D :D
I have been so thorough with this reroot. I wonder if most people do nearly every hole in the takara scalps?
Glazing done in lower deck & convertible roof. Iain fabricated the parts so convertible top can be removed.
Cat-Mai - Mai with the Catwa Magy head - is well on her way to becoming a character your Mai could live with as an avatar (because, though you found her beautiful sweetie, your wife couldn't make a 'habit' of the embryonic Cat-Mai as she looks in those 'Dancing Zen' pictures).
Here Cat-Mai is born again with some modified facial proportions, most noticeably her mouth and lips, which are now literally Golden (ie. PHI = 1:1.618 = 62% on the SL Lip Ratio slider), a move that does give her face a je ne sais quoi in your Mai's eyes and renders her attractive enough now to 'live with' more than just now and then. If you like her, love, I can 'be' Cat-Mai more often.
Cat-Mai is showing off the Analexa small-breasted body, with a slimmer shape than even Slink-Mai used to wear. And she's been given a new LAQ skin (Natasha) which sets off her nose and mouth a bit more than the Camille skin Slink-Mai and MaiChai wear.
Hope you like her and these pics which really got me going on the Black & White and F-S conversions! For some reason they do this particular face more justice than plain colour does - whether that's a good sign I'm not quite sure. ♥X
Peverell "Papa" Paloux asks Henri how he is progressing with his skills at Cafe Paloux, under the supervison of Pierre as Danielle lends a supportive hand on Peverell's shoulder.
The corset on it's way to being a real tightlace! It's working too. If nothing else atleast to motivate me. I've lost 9 lbs so far!
95% of the body repairs required have now been completed on Stockport 403, though there's still a little more painstaking work left removing blisters from the recessed steel window pans and paint removal from window rubbers. Flatting work has commenced to the panels which aren't to be replaced and a re-paint isn't far off. A replacement engine supplied with the bus has now been fitted and hopefully an MoT will soon be booked...
The bus last worked at Weston Super Mare on a sea front heritage service for Rexquote Heritage from Taunton, (which later became Quantock Motor Services.)
Cob walls require a wide foundation, and solid ground, hence the trench for the foundation is so wide. A high fly ash (40%) concrete was used to limit the amount of Portland Cement.
Purchased some more mini tiles for fill in, and one wall and the tops of the sides of the hot tub are coming along. What takes the longest doing this is tiling and allowing it to dry before moving on to the next wall.
Photographed berthed at the East Quay in Newhaven Harbour, East Sussex on June 8th 2020 is the Portuguese registered general cargo ship Spanaco Progress. Built in 2007 and originally named Chyra the Spanaco Progress has a gross tonnage of 5581.
To help keep myself motivated, a visual of where I am, and where I have to go.
I also wanted to reassure myself of my color choices for Rosette Two.
the base of the necklace is ready but I'm still working on the little extras.
the mesh knot and fabric pom pom both have round back pins attached which can slide onto the mesh band. I plan on wearing mine with a large grouping of the knots.
Trying to integrate all the experiments with these bead forms into a rocky bracelet. Hey, this is definitely a rocky process....must now undergo color integration, but not, hopefully, muddification!
Had this portrait been taken in 1964 rather than 2014, this indeed would have been Western Progress. By 1964, the ex-GW system north of Aynho Junction was firmly in the grasp of the rival London Midland region, but the Western had left it's mark.
Banbury's ramshackle wooden station had been replaced by a spanking new brick, concrete and glass structure in 1958, the King class locomotives were ousted from duty by Westerns and Warships, mark 1's and 2's were taking over from Great Western Clerestory stock.
50 years on and Banbury thrives. Chiltern Railways have considerable presence in the town as the Birmingham Mainline gains ever more traffic and riders. Even the locomotive hauled train survives with more to come as Chiltern increases it's use of the 67 hauled mk3 Silver sets on Birmingham services.
Still, it can never harm to review what's been and gone. And what better way than riding in a PV early mk2 with twin Maybach's providing the power?
The Chiltern Champion waits to head back to Marylebone with D1015 at the helm. Champion? I'll say...

And before anyone starts, I'm aware the Turbo unit behind wouldn't be there in 1964. It's a class 117 DMU really. Just use your imagination eh? :D
