The road and the bridge.

After measuring out the proportions in masking tape and lightly scratching the outline into the acrylic layer using a scalpel, I painted the base tones of the body.

Body is done with the exception of the front bands. Added some short rows at hem and some more aggressive shaping through the body. Blocking should help even things out a smidge. The hem is trying to be a bit flippy and the fronts are proving to be unruly (as expected with all that stockinette roll)

Once the front bands are done, I'll be working the sleeves :)

Appliqueing the crescents. The foundation is a starched linen crescent and I am appliqueing linen on top with silk thread. The piece is draped over my knee for a jaunty angle.
