In progress shot of my Nehalem Bay shawl. Did a quick steam block to see how the laces look together.
The center is from Evelyn Clark's Knitting Lace Triangles and is her ripple lace stitch.
The outer lace is one I found in a japanese stitch dictionary, that I modified slightly to fit the repeat needed. I'm trying to decide what sort of border I want to do. I have an idea that I think will work. We'll see.
White thread is a life line.
Working on my "Coventry" cardigan. I had to rip back about 5 inches or so, and I was ignoring it for a bit after that. Picked it up again this weekend, and I think I'm about where I was before I had to undo it.
The yarn is Quince&Co. Chickadee in "Snap Pea". It's delightful, and held up fine to reworking of cables and such.

A rebuilt SD60 leads this westbound doublestack train under the soon to be replaced New York Central era signal bridge at Waterloo, Indiana. The replacement signals can be seen in the background.
First three pages of 16 that I owe Rafer. I've decided to pencil through the week and ink on the weekends, when I have larger chunks of time.
This is what I have done so far on my next queen sized quilt. It is raining this morning so I will probably spend the day in the sewing room.
Mitered squares made from sock yarn scraps. This is strangely addicting. Also, it is becoming very apparent to me that I really like pink sock yarn.
... but it has not yet reached the middle. There was little breeze this evening to fan the flames, and the wood was wet from the rain during the week. There was a lot of steam to start with!
Littlehampton, West Sussex.
The annual Guy Fawkes celebrations put on by the Littlehampton Bonfire Society. Parade, bonfire, and fireworks on the beach. The fireworks this year were brilliant!
The new garden wall my husband built for me is shown here not quite completed (more pics to follow). This is my new garden this year, and required more effort to create than is obvious at first glance! I do love having a place to plant and weed.
