25 volunteers showed up for a fun evening of appreciation on Feb. 9. Volunteers gave close to 3,000 hours in 2016 and helped with completion of 30 projects and helping in the Seedling Tree Nursery.

NEWPORT, R.I. – Students from the U.S. Naval War College’s (NWC) Advanced Strategist Program (ASP) graduate in a ceremony held at the Naval War College Museum August 9, 2023. The ceremony, presided over by NWC President Rear Adm. Pete Garvin, recognized students for completing the specialized track for service members and civilians skilled in the practice of formulating, developing, and executing strategy at various leadership levels. The 13-month program is completed in conjunction with the College of Naval Command and Staff curriculum with students being awarded additional credit on top of a master’s degree in Defense and Strategic Studies. Established in 1884, NWC informs today’s decision-makers and educates tomorrow’s leaders by providing educational experiences and learning opportunities that develop their ability to anticipate and prepare strategically for the future, strengthen the foundations of peace, and create a decisive warfighting advantage.
