This picture was drawn by hand without a subject model save the owl from a picture of an owl found online. A pencil sketch was finished in ink and enlarged and duplicated at a printing company for coloring. It also served as a concert poster and advertisement of a company function.
I actually didn't start my diet and exercise until June 19th so this is roughly one month's progress.

Air Force Col. Richard McBride, the director of the Armed Services Blood Program, presents the U.S. Army vs. U.S. Navy Blood Donor Challenge trophy to Marine Cpl. Garrett Carnes, from the Wounded Warrior Battalion East, Dec. 8 during the Army Navy Game at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. Garrett was accepting the trophy on behalf of the U.S. Navy, which won the 2nd Annual U.S. Army vs. U.S. Navy Blood Donor Challenge. Representing the U.S. Army was Connecticut Army National Guard Staff Sgt. Brett Graveline, also with the Wounded Warrior Battalion East. The two-week challenge consisted of 10 blood drives and consisted of 1,474 donors, more than 500 from last year's challenge. Photos by Christine June.

Corvette Racing Program Manager Doug Fehan was at the The Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum for a 2-day celebration dedicated to Corvette Racing. Under Doug’s leadership, Corvette Racing earned 92 race Victories, 10 Team Championships, 9 Driver Championships and 7 Victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans since 1999. This all spans 3 generations of Corvette models beginning with the all-conquering C5-R, continuing with the dominating C6-R, and the new for 2014, C7.R. Doug shared stories about the history of Corvette Racing and unique stories about his racing career. The Museum’s 1963 Corvette “Grand Sport” was started & rev’d up by George Wintersteen at the conclusion of the event.
