Hermosillo, Sonora, 17 de diciembre de 2013.- El Instituto Municipal de Planeación Urbana (Implan) presentó el nuevo Programa de Desarrollo Urbano para Hermosillo, en el cual el ciudadano es el eje rector, mismo que ya fue aprobado por la Junta de Gobierno para someterlo a consulta pública.
El alcalde Alejandro López Caballero manifestó que se considera que ese proyecto de desarrollo urbano es el más adecuado para los próximos 30 años de crecimiento de la ciudad, además de estar vinculado con un atlas de riesgo que se revisará para la aprobación de nuevas construcciones.
Esto traerá un crecimiento mucho más ordenado, señaló, a la vez que inhibiremos cualquier tipo de riesgo en el desarrollo e identificaremos cuáles son las obras que se deben realizar para reducir cuanto se pueda los riesgos pre-existentes.
“Fue un trabajo muy arduo que durante todo un año llevó a cabo el Implan con la Junta de Gobierno, vinculados con la Unidad Municipal de Protección Civil, la Dirección de Desarrollo Urbano y el área de seguridad pública del municipio”, indicó López Caballero.
A partir de mañana, cualquier persona puede consultar el programa en la página de Implan www.implanhermosillo.gob.mx o en la del Ayuntamiento www.hermosillo.gob.mx, pues durante todo un mes estará a disposición de los hermosillenses y, una vez que se hayan recibido todas las opiniones de la población al respecto, se pasará el documento a Cabildo para su valoración y aprobación en su caso.
La directora de Implan, Guadalupe Peñúñuri Soto, explicó que este programa contempla una nueva visión de ciudad más compacta, con varios subcentros urbanos y, sobre todo, más humana, que sea una ciudad no destinada al automóvil, en la cual el ser humano sea el eje rector.
“Está basado en un nuevo modelo de desarrollo urbano que se llama DOTS, Desarrollo Orientado al Transporte Sustentable, lo cual es totalmente innovador y seremos la primera ciudad de México que lo adopte”, subrayó Peñúñuri Soto.
Dijo que el desarrollo de las ciudades en México está disgregado de la movilidad, porque se ha cometido el error de construir poblaciones más vulnerables e insostenibles, “pero en Hermosillo estamos a tiempo de tener un desarrollo armónico y cuya densificación sea alrededor de rutas troncales de transporte público masivo, lo cual facilitará la movilidad no motorizada, la peatonal, la ciclista y poner una atención muy especial para las personas discapacitadas”.
De acuerdo con este plan de desarrollo, se construirán andadores, ciclovías, se dispondrá de un sistema de transporte masivo troncal con rutas alimentadoras integradas, además de que se pondrá más atención al cuidado del patrimonio cultural, como son las construcciones antiguas y centros arqueológicos como La Pintada.
En la presentación de este documento estuvieron el presidente de la Federación de Arquitectos de la República Mexicana, Guillermo Marrufo Ruiz; el representante de la Junta de Gobierno de Implan, Óscar López Vucovich; el titular de la Comisión del Consejo Consultivo, Fernando López Bernal, así como miembros del Gabinete Municipal, cámaras y colegios.

The 2015 Youth and Mentors Film Program was a filmmaking workshop that brought together youth and the people they look up to in their community. They collaborated to produce these powerful short films, and were featured in a short documentary. The program was made possible with the support of the Peel Regional Police, The Journey Neighbourhood Centre, and the Province of Ontario.

BOO! Scare Ya? If not, come to our next gathering and you might be! The Saps at Sea have joined the esteemed Theatre Organ Society of San Diego (TOSSD) to present a very Special Halloween themed Program. Our very own Musical Magician Russ Peck performs the scores for our program on the 4/24 Mighty Wurlitzer. First, Felix the Cat in SWITCHES WITCHES (1927) annoys a Witch while searching for his Lady Love. Then Stan and Ollie in DO DETECTIVES THINK? (1927) are hired to protect Judge Foozle (James Finlayson) from creepy The Tipton Slasher (Noah Young). We will also screen a SURPRISE Laurel and Hardy film. At intermission, a fund-raising Youth Group is selling tasty treats. After the break, we will see the Silent Feature THE CAT AND THE CANARY (1927). This scary thriller stars lovely Laura LaPlante who arrives at a Haunted (?) Mansion to hear the reading of a will.
A great evening is assured for all Saps, TOSSD people, and anyone who loves movies and organ music. We will be meeting in the Trinity Church Organ Pavilion next to our usual Williams Hall venue.
A Special Note to all Saps. Make sure you check in at the Saps table to get the Sappy discount of only $7 a ticket.
