Brighter Bites is a collaborative effort designed to improve access to healthy, affordable food and provide nutrition education. The University of Texas School of Public Health, KIPP Schools, the Houston Food Bank and Texas Children's Hospital have partnered to offer the 16-week program to third-grade children enrolled at KIPP Explore Academy and their parents. As you can see from the photos, those healthy kale smoothies are a hit!
Today we created two more games in Programming C! We created a target game with moving obstacles and a drawing game where we could change colors and the size of our pencil.

Through Compassion this year's Group showed that service can be fun and that there is no joy like helping others who may not be as fortunate. Through Sustainability the group was able to enhance their knowledge of the what it means to preserve life on Earth. Discovery Program 2011 "Become a part of the Program, Become a part of the Passion, Become a part of the PRIDE."
La presidenta de la Comunidad de Madrid, Cristina Cifuentes, ha anunciado hoy la puesta en marcha de un programa especÃfico para prevenir la mutilación genital femenina, contemplado dentro de la Estrategia de Actuación Integral contra la Violencia de Género, recientemente aprobada por el Ejecutivo autonómico.
Esta Estrategia incluirá, además, otras dos medidas dirigidas a alertar de las consecuencias fÃsicas y psÃquicas en la salud de esta agresión e informar a las posibles vÃctimas de sus derechos. En concreto, el Gobierno regional colaborará con las campañas de información y prevención impulsadas por las Organizaciones No Gubernamentales y su inclusión en los Planes Anuales de Cooperación al Desarrollo de la Comunidad de Madrid. Asimismo, proporcionará a las mujeres que puedan ser vÃctimas información y asesoramiento jurÃdico, inmediato y especializado, acerca de los derechos que les asisten.
